Virtuality.

Post by Jima B »

Welcome to DXMP_Virtuality.
This is the third and possibly most unique map in my latest pack.

Image

This is an arena style map with Six spawn bases suspended slightly above the main playing area and some delightfully childish textures made in paint and/or macromedia fireworks.
Based on a DVD menu (in turn based on an old 8 bit game) I once saw, this game contains 6 main rooms (outfitted with simplistic boxy furniture) and one connecting corridor. One vent is available, so the corridor can be bypassed (although the entrances and exits are practically next to each other). This map has extremely low interactivity and no bots, however.
Biocells for auged play, Large enclosed spaces for Anti-gravity play, Medkits for any play.
Please try it! It's the only map like it that I'll ever be making and all of the textures are embedded so you wont need a .utx file. If you for some reason want to use these textures (like if you're mentally ill or something) then just ask me and I'll send em straight over.
Thanks again, have fun with it!

Glad you guys like it.
I know, so far, this map's been a little simple though... So next release in the pack won't be a simple arena style map, and that's a promise.

Well.. many files are much older than the server where they are hosted on...
I assume several files got corrupted by the host travels..

We should try to obtain a list of files are are corrupted over time. :?

I'm starting from the oldest and working my way through the uploaded files to see what is corrupted, this thread can remain here in the hope that Jima can re-upload this in future, unless ofcourse anyone has a copy.
