There's a bootable DVD called desinfec't.
It scans the system with several anti-virus scanners.
My sister used to have an annoying virus that disabled the access to all windows controls.
I was able to remove it again with that DVD.
If you can't find it on the internetz, I can upload it. The size is approx 2GB.

Well, actually the DVD comes with the German computer-technics magazine c't. Thus.. it's not entirely free.  That's why i offered to upload it if no source would be available.

Pfffft, you noobs and your noobidom. Lockdown many metabolic end product is urine easy to fix. Disable windows restore (the software backtrack not the OS install function) get Malwarebytes or SuperAntiSpyware or something to that degree, start the machine in safemode with networking and run one of the antispyware programs.
99% of people mistake Scareware for lockdown viri. However, both can be treated by the previous. If all else fails, stop looking at dodgy porn.

If I recall correct it was NOT possible to start a program.. not even in save mode.

So have you tried running an antivirus from a bootable CD? If you know where the virus is you could manually remove it with a Linux CD.

Alright, for those that are interested.. Click >>HERE<< to get the live image that boots up a linux, updates the live virus scanners to the latest antivirus files and scans the system. All this should happen automatically. The update process of the virus definition files might take a WHILE. The ISO file is a DVD ISO file and can be burned to a DVD. The size is 2GB.
