Hi guys, I'm working on a series of maps ATM that are designed particularly for an Assault type of gameplay from UT. Maps that have an objective. This is the first in the series http://www.deusexonline.com/dxmp-assault-map-t161.html of map, this one is around 70% complete.

Now, my skills only go as far as mapping so the rest is down to coding, what I'm looking to know, is it feasibly possible to implement said Gametype into DX and also anyone free enough to try their hand at it?

The lighting in the last shot looks lovely and the map looks more than promising...

I would say make a 0-aug/Aug version of the map anyway because your assault gametype will take a while.

I haven't played the assault gametype myself. I didn't play very much UT, preferred DX.

Will pm you something as well.

Thanks guys I'm trying to make this map stand out but not over do it. TBH shadow I'm going to keep the map what it was intended to do. It wouldnt suit a typical death match I don't think.

Hi Kalman, well I can say for definite that the maps FOR the mod will be completed, but the actual mod itself might take a while for a coder to come along. I'm even willing to offer the coder paid work if necessary :D

I don't think it would quite as simple as that lol if it was I'm sure it would have been done already \:D/ but I'm interested ad to wether Brendan has the knowledge/willingness to attempt it at all?

From UT? Well I just took a look at the code for it... YIKES lol... If I were not modding anything, I would try and convert it...

I was going to say, I think Atrey is your best bet at the moment, since he's already tinkering/porting with UT assets.

But the thing is, I am busy with Hatchet and Return of Denton. So I have no time for that :P


When I get my stuff done, I could definately give that a shot.
