OK mappers. @ CHIN, ANAX, JAGER, SHADOW AND OTHERS:
I propose a map project. but you may be saying "no fu bamz0rz" But there is a reward: $25 via bitcoin. (if you don't have a wallet it's really easy)
Basically, for my mod, I need say 3+ maps. But these will be awesome maps (the more interactive but not laggy the better): 1. in silo, they have a wall that explodes, I WANT THAT FOR AS MUCH OF THE MAP AS POSSIBLE. Basically, i'm interested in much more interactive maps. 2. Counterstrike style, smaller-medium maps, nothing huge 3. chin ur CS maps, pool, office would be perfect if you could add those map destruction points
Also maybe make some maps destructible only with certain weapons, tnt crates etc, so that there is a strategy, perhaps to hold a key point in the map.
anyways, this would be epic for a capture the flag, hold the hill type gameplay,

Wat style of map do you want thouugh? sci-fi, ww2, classic dx????

Style of Map: Counterstrike, medium sized to small.
Bright and sunny/well lit. I know a lot of dx'ers prefer dark and mysterious, but that's not the right atmosphere.
Requirements: - three maps - must have parts(lots) of walls that can be destroyed via bullets or tnt crates, with cool ass explosions

This was the next step for WW2, craters appearing in the map and breakable buildings/walls that tanks can plough through, this sort of changing map, from quiet town to scene of destruction, new paths for tanks opening up and tank shells having effect everywhere.
I would like to see breakable trees, which become lethal/dangerous of course when exploded.
Sure Bamborz, I'm already started on a CS/half-life/prodigy/smuggler type of map, maybe same size as smuggler, but more compact, smaller overall. Seeing stuffed hosted and tested for a while, is good enough reward to be honest. I like mods and wish they could all get hosted.

Shadow, mon ami, (for some reason I remember playing on the map 8 red with you way back when), anyways,
hosting is not a problem. I currently host poor's ww2 mod 24/7, and I could prolly host another server well on that box. But imma get a completely different server box for my CS mod. these servers are NOT going anywhere for the next 12 months, so any good mods and maps, i wiill host.
and about the maps, awesome! I've got maybe a couple weeks left before the CS mod is ready to go, and whoever is ready with maps in 2 weeks, with the bestest maps, wins the prize.

oh, well things keep changing,
i am adding a hostage type gameplay, plant bomb, and elimination all in one lol.
so perhaps, design it where we can spawn hostages, and have a place that they have to be taken to.
same concept with the bombs

i c what u did thar, ur turning DX into CS. npc hostages sounds cool and player VIP and some co-op, like that CTF mod where flagbearer has no augs, sounds good. Not sure if Chin's CS maps are plantbomb ones, but Prodigy is a plantbomb map. I would have a go at CS_Oilrig for /hostage/VIP version. That CS map is crying out for a superior DX version with movers and the helicopter flying away for the player to actually reach the safety zone and win the game. http://counterstrike.wikia.com/wiki/OilrigI would address this issue. " Furthermore, the confusing dark hallways and numerous areas can be a huge advantage for snipers." I would make a smaller rig with less confusing corridors/paths. I'll also make something that looks more like a rig, but is recognisable as the CS map. Would you consider a reduced smoke grenade and a reduced kind of explosive grenade, not going to kill a whole room/corridor.
