That's not a bad idea XD

However, players COULD learn how long the delay is, and co-ordinate it with fights :/

Yeah, not a bad idea at all.

Just.. will have to complicate a bit; might have to combine various techniques.. So, a delay on the type, so no instant-god.. and this delay should depend on the distances of any projectile or players nearby. This has benefits cos if the delay is not "fixed" time, then none can figure out the timings easily.

EDIT: DAMN VECTOR MATHS. I HATE IT.

Make the delay quite long. At least 10 seconds... if not 30...

I hate being typekilled, but I hated the anti-tk mutator even more, because big balloons on people's head were distracting and also people abused that system, suddenly typing when they were about to die.

I think if people need to talk, they need to find cover, if in the middle of a fight, you stop and start chatting, you therefore forfeit the fight and should be shot. If you give people the ability to escape a fight, they will abuse it.

No, I was not planning to make the 'delay' any fixed time at all. It all depends on the distance of any player (i'll make enemies though) or any projectile nearby.

I think DJ's on to something though.. with the projectile, and player distances form the typing player. Perhaps if "T" was only allowed to function when the player is away from both things. This way...

-It is safe to talk, and the player can not use this to their advantage in a fight.
-Players can not blame their deaths on "BU-BU-BUT I WAS TYPING" as the mutator will simply not allow them to type whilst players/projectiles are near by.
-I'm sure their's more.. but this is actually sounding quite promising so far.

To be honest this mod wouldn't be needed if people had this awesome mutator called COMMON SENSE

Either I dont understand how this mutator will work or you are creating something that players will use to "cheat"?
The anti-tk mutator is SO annoying, DX is a visual experience and it destroys that, also people are lame with it.
I just thought there are far more urgent needs for coders to address in DX than an anti-tk.
It spoils a game if someone is standing in the middle of a battle, having a good old chat in the xfire...
I reserve my enthusiasm for this project until I see it working. In the meatime I shall be a grumpy old metabolic end product gas...
