i think sike cant write SDK ... i dont know another for mapping/modding .... i'm not a mapper or modder

yeah with mapping i know the sdk but its the same for modding?

I don't think so but Im not sure what to use to mod things like guns...

the best person to ask about modding would probably be Nobody and that other guy who was in [A] who modded (I can't remember his name its been a while since I saw him around)

Get the DeusEx SDK here

You can map with the UnrealEd, which is included in the SDK. But you should upgrade to UnrealEd 2 (can be found with Google).
UnrealEd 1 has lots of problems, especially with Windows Vista.

You can get the game scripts by exporting them with the UnrealEd and compiling is done with the ucc command line tool.
The scripting language of the UnrealEngine (v1-4) in UnrealScript. Its a Java like language.

Kuchcik's Tip: You can create simple models in Milkshape, there are cracked versions around, check torrents. Remember to "switch faces" or something, you can find more info about that at Tack's Deus Ex Lab.

You can make small mods with the SDK, though.
But for bigger mods, I would recommend a programming environment like WotGreal.

According to the SDK.
UnrealED2 is no official update to UnrealED1.
UT got UED2 with the last patch and the engine upgrade from version 68 to 69, however, DX never received such a patch. Thus, UED2 doesn't really harmonize with DX.
