COZMO REPORT THREAD - PUBLIC PLAYER TESTING WEEK

Post by ShadowRunner »

This thread is so that during this week, players can help improve the new map's beta, which is being public tested from today, while Chinny continues to work on the "final" V2_08 version.

Warning: This thread will be heavily moderated. Please use the other thread for discussion, opinion, suggestions for story/play.
Warning: make requests or story suggestions in the other thread please, if not applicable to fix/bug reporting here please.

I'll kick off.

1. Need more than one player to test, but looks possible to trap player at one end of one of the three monorail trains.
2. Numbers of pigeons could/should be reduced?
3. Numbers of fish in both tanks are reduced, but could be reduced further in at least one tank?
4. Firebarrels could/should be replaced with brushes. This would allow a lot more actors to go into the map in future.
5. MJ12 and Half-Life area could do with more detail and that Maintenance shaft with corrupt swat or mechanic is missing.
6. Bum is not sitting on toilet in MJ12 detention. Cop Chief is not sitting on stool in cop van. Cop van operational desk is missing
7. Hospital sewer pipes are missing/deleted. Map is stable enough to put back.
8. Bank Sofa deleted/Less poly version required?
9. Every single semi-solid near canal water in latest build unchecked.

So anybody can help with the testing? If so, I would like to help testing if you don't mind :)

New plan - v2.08 should hopefully be up tonight, meanwhile I will work on further improvements to Uptown and Chinatown areas for v2.09. Also in future expect to see more improvements/additions to the mod from Cozmo.

1.The major thing, even though it was fixed, the elevator buttons aren't moving with one of the monorail trains. Can still be operated by player at Unatco end.

2. Also, I have noticed the button in the 278 room is not touching the wall anymore.

3. The fake keypad outside computer_ops in Unatco is confusing players, should be a brush perhaps.

4. Found one non-solid semi solid in China slums. Also found one transparent window which is not solid in Page reception's table.

5. According to several players Megabyte is cheating and does so on other servers.

6. The blue sofas in Bank, after rebuild happen to be grey and movable. Seems an editor bug, not saving last operation, as before.

7.Overall reaction to the new build was interesting. Some players were declaring their love for us. A couple had plenty of questions about the mod side of things. Generally though the common trait seems to be that they love the new build, despite not actually having seen any of the new areas sometimes. As far as I can see almost no player has seen the new warehouses or corrupt station. They love the library and new bank. and the monorail, even though it's not totally error-free. Pepper spray is a bit hit and miss and you can get yourself arrested quite easily.

8. Some cop doors lower too far into the ground. Second keyframe needs to be raised 2 or 4 units above floor.

1. Invisible brush as shown by Chinny in Canal kitchens.

2. Ceiling of Strip Bar is set unlit, seemingly a editor error. Second time this error happened.

3. Bearing in mind the recurring nature of some bugs, testing needs to be even more thorough in future.
