People tend to behave when I'm there, they don't realize I forgot admin pass and I think they know I won't hesitate to ban people.
Maybe more admins would help.

I can check the server in every 30 mins, and I've got adminpass as I know
Edit: I asked ShanaPah!, and he said Darko, kldjerz and a Player are the spammers

1. MIRK - not brad, mr digitized is asking to host Cozmo.
I personally think its a good idea, it releases you to host a 0-aug server with decent custom 0-aug maps, which is your forte.
We then can concentrate on the third Cozmo city, rather than dealing with a map that has basically been an experiment, full of mistakes which totally limits the future expansion of this map/city 2. I feel also when we host city 3, (which I'm happy to do on Otherworld, if you're hosting your 0-aug maps), which could be very soon, that people will appreciate it more and cause less problems, it allows us to ban people and force them to play on MIRK with the old and inferior map. City 3 will of course be the sum of all our experience so far and definitely wise people will not want to get banned from it. You can also create a banlist for the new map, based on misdeamanours on altfire etc, that way a nice quiet Xmas. No-one will dare forfeit a look at City 3.
2.

When I joined I entered the sewer and went through slums to China, I didn't see snow falling until I reached Chinny's part of China. I guess not many players will do this, but nevertheless maybe some kind of MOTD? about being careful, not slipping in the snow etc, something to make players realize it's supposed to be snow. At first I thought Chinny was drunk or this was texture bug in final rebuild, because there are gaps and areas of normal floor texturing. Top marks though for the falling snow, looks very cool. Another suggestion would be to create triggered sound of walking in snow when player passes over any snow texture, but I'm guessing again, player might not realize immediately it is supposed to be snow.
I'll video the falling snow now, find some christmas carols and head for the vid editor...

Re: Official CozmoRPGv2 feedback,suggestions & Discussion thread
The snow covering was difficult deciding which areas should be covered and what areas would technically have some kind of roof as my snow drops fall perfectly vertically thus the odd scenes in your pictures.
Textures can be made with their own sound properties so that's one for the future for sure. Cozmo gave me a good test bed to test out the possibility of having some kind of rudimentary weather. If expanding on this "weather" perhaps rain could be triggered or set to come on and off if possible, also the is the rain mod which needs looking into.
Weather in DXMP is cool.

no, you did a good job, I felt all seasonal when I saw the snow fall, it was interesting to see the seasons in a game...
If Deja was here, that rainmod thing would solved, he said he had tested actor update or something. Also about City 3, is there really the possibility of having districts connect on different servers, or is that something to forget and crack on with one map.

What about the possibility of having night and day cycles? A roundish skybox with night and day textures that slowly rotates in sync with real time along with some lights that brighten and fade accordingly.

I do not envy the person who has to texture that thing. I have experimented with moving skyboxes before, though - they do workPoor wrote:What about the possibility of having night and day cycles? Re: Official CozmoRPGv2 feedback, suggestions & Discussion thread
So it could be a light blue texture that fades into a black one and vice-versa, once fully blended into light blue some cloud can be present and once fully black some stars. You could blend light blue into a purple colour then black and vice versa for a better blend maybe.
It's a nice idea but then DXMP in the day is not something I personally like, but perhaps a skybox could blend a cloudless sky showing many stars into a cloudy dark sky which can trigger the onset of rain/wind noise etc.

You know, snow doesn't always fall straight down..it does cover slightly sheltered areas too
but nice work..

Re: Official CozmoRPGv2 feedback,suggestions & Discussion thread
the snow falling is beautiful. Perhaps with the texture's some sheets 2 units higher than floor at odd angles to make edges of snow jagged. and spattered. I don't mind to do this. But as it is it's funny and cool.
Mainman's night and day actor lights I have. When tested online, it lagged, but that may have just been because there were a lot of lights in the Landernau map. We discovered that it was too dark to start with and too bright by the end, so I think if mixed with some normal light actors, and used sparingly, maybe his night and day system, with coloured lights might help you out somewhere.

I m Brad's administrator, he is in my servers.

We have a server to spare for Cozmos_RPGv2, so chin heat me up m8!

We ll have another one in the future but I think I ll be hosting another mod,
not sure about it yet-needs some editing first.
let me know, I ll be around (pm me)...
p.s. snow is very beautiful indeed, what is even more beautiful is the blood on the snow!!!
seems like assassins are getting buzy these days, holiday hunting season is open

Re: Official CozmoRPGv2 feedback,suggestions & Discussion thread
Please don't give anything to MIRK. Brad is an extremely shitty admin and will ruin the mod for everyone. He banned me from his tactical server with no warning for fighting him with a gravity rifle. Then he spammed my server for hours even though I never said anything to the guy that could have provoked him. I tried talking to him but he just spams the word homosexual (forum censor). A great mod like CozmoRPG shouldn't be controlled by a guy like that.
Re: Official CozmoRPGv2 feedback,suggestions & Discussion thread
I agree with Poor. When I hosted about a year ago, a "[MIRK] Brad FDR" shut down my server repeatedly using some sort of sandboxing. (didn't have nepthys installed)
In any case, I'm really interested in Dejavu's idea of having different segments of the rpg hosted on different servers and having the player data stored. That would be awesome as the lag in the current cozmo get pretty bad,
Also, the gameplay coding needs some improvement. It would be awesome to have like jobs, where you could trigger something inside of building where you could be a salesman, a smith, an aaccountant etc. And you would get paid by doing whatever.
Anyways, keep up the good work.
