I play this game to let off some steam and have fun; cheating in my eyes makes little sense, and is a waste of time for the cheater and those that are being cheated.

I have heard of people playing (augs) with 120FOV as well. I myself have tried different fov settings, when and if I could be bothered, but any advantage it may have is more visible in atdm. Right now I've tried setting it to 85 which seems to change things a bit, but for 0a I'd still be inclined to say that I snipe better with the default. When I started dcsb guys had been testing different FOV settings, and the consensus they seemed to reach was that what ever change there might've been, must've been marginal and not something to write home about.

That said, I practiced fighting with DTS in augs using behindview *only*, back in 2005. Hard to comment anything on that, but it kept me entertained in fights where I'd usually get framerate that steadily drops below 10fps. And no, I didn't camp corners 24/7.
