e.g. copy all actors brushes, select new map, paste it and rebuild.
That was also the way, I fixed most of the duplicative brushes on your trial map, Chees.

I had to do that several times to fix the bug I created when resizing a brush. it only changed by a few KB's in size and took ages to select everything one by one as select all would simply copy the problem invisible brush work bug as well!
Shadow if you back it all up and do registry edit it should be safe me thinks. useless at computer problems so I'm no help sorry

Good question Chin, most people seemed to have managed. Masta started later than everyone else, so it's understandable.

Sometime this week I'll make a scoreboard with all the challengers and criteria, so many entries we need to keep track!

I could help you with this problem but then UnrealED couldn't open the map anymore!
For MP gaming it wouldn't matter though.. but I assume that's against the rules.

Don't forget the IKEA logo.

You will be excused from the obligatory fork lift truck though.

*Smiles* - This really looks very good. Non-beginner things happening like split-texture walls.

I almost want to say, how much of this map did Ste make. Impressive to say the least for a newcomer.
The detail is looking good so far, it will be interesting to see what you do with entrances, windows, walls, floors etc.
I appreciate beginners playing safe with the concept, but it will be great if you push yourself with this map to give it that extra touch. It's looking very promising so far.

This.

I forgot about that. I usually right click one of the brushes first and I've never tried pasting everything at once.

I have until June 1st to figure why, having fixed my drive not being detected, it still asks me to insert the CD/DVD and no CD fix doesn't work. I think all my spare DVD's are in another city right now. Might just have to buy one, but I will be miffed if it doesn't fix it. I've done every fix recommended except the registry edit, which I'm reluctant to do. According to some people, it might be an issue with hewlett packard conflicting with Vista. I do have HP printer, but the DVD is hitachi.

Well, by no CD fix I'm assuming you mean changing the CD Path in DeusEx.ini.

I had an issue a few years back where I couldn't play because of that problem (my disc shattered in the drive while it was spinning) and resolved it by using a non-GOTY version of DeusEx.exe, which I'll attach here. Maybe it'll work for you?

unfortunately i won't be doing a nice mirrored logo to match exactly with the shape of the real IKEA logo.
I'm very close to the 2 mb limit because of the final stage of lighting is eating it up - I still need some bytes left to flesh out the last few rooms with semi-solid stuff.
It's gonna be a tight squeeze for under 2 megz0rz!

btw I'll be releasing the map for testing later tonight. gg ns wp gt
