For a clan that supposedly posts pictures of beating noobs, you must really feel we are genuine competition to warrant your pleas for a clan war.

If you guys want Shadow to "stfu" as you innerweb people put it, why don't you frequent a different forum.

You will not get a clan war of any kind out of us when you insult our members, it's not rocket science chaps.

Jesus, you're all acting like children. It's a simple game, there's absolutely no reason to take what anybody says personally. It's not like what anyone says or does in this game affects you in real life, unless your entire life is this game in which case you have bigger problems. It's petty rivalries like this that have caused the current state of DX, so instead of adding more problems to this game it would be prudent for all of you to sit down and try to resolve this like mature adults.

As for the clan war, can I just ask what the purpose of having this clan is then? It's not like you're being offered an overabundance of wars as it is, so if you decline when you actually are offered it doesn't really make sense to even have a clan as pretty much their sole purpose is to war. Who cares if the challenge was made in a condescending manner? Who cares if you lose? At least it's a learning experience. It's not like you lose anything by accepting the war.

Finally, it seems that most of this conflict is over gametypes. Let me just say that that may be the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Does playing a different gametype in a game that's about 10 years old and may have an active population of 100 make you in any way a better person? It sickens me to see all these ATDM players (usually) think they're better than everyone else and treat other people like trash just because they play ATDM. It just leads me to think that this game is filled with people whose lives are so pathetic that the only way to make themselves feel good is by beating people in a pretty much dead video game. Empires don't rise and fall because you've beaten somebody in a 1v1. What happens in this game affects nothing else, so stop taking it so *loving* seriously. That's probably the biggest problem with DX. Nobody actually plays it for entertainment anymore.

It's this elistist attitude that becomes boring quickly, sure I play Altfire and BTDM, doesn't make me a newbie, I'm just absolutely bored stiff of the state of 0 augs at the moment.

Playing other gametypes is the only thing keeping me playing deus ex, I think most pro's are their own worst enemies in many cases, my main concern with deus ex is keeping it alive and has been for over a year now, I don't have the patience to argue with people, I state my opinion then move on, if you don't agree with mine it's fine.

All I know is [FGS] are one of a few clans helping to prolong Deus Ex's life span and is why I joined them.

My only complaint about you chinny is the "CROUCHER NOOB" thing you come off with. I'm confused by it how the hell does crouching make a person nooby? I lol'd when I read it.

This hitting crouch repeatedly whilst using assualt weapons is somewhat of an exploit in Deus Ex, when you crouch your crosshair becomes smaller and therefore you can hit enemies with much greater accuracy, whilst being difficult to hit because of the up and down movement of the head/torso when repeatedly hitting the crouch button.

When I was in =]BIA[= we all agreed that it was an exploit and therefore we collectively agreed not to do it, I'm big on principles and fair play so that's why I comment, I don't mind getting my butt kicked (just ask Sike) but it's the exploits that make me mad, especially when it is used to kill oppennets who realistically have very little chance to kill you even without you doing it. This is particually frustrating in ATDM as the gametype is struggling to get new players and I feel it's not helping matters.

When I started playing Deus Ex 0 augs not alot of people were doing it, now it's all the time in 0 augs, people's skill level in Deus Ex has reduced because of it, but that's covered up by the corouching becuasue you will get a good score if you do it alot, what happened to the master snipers and pistol users of old?

OH! Crouch spamming, I see what your on about now. To be honest, most of the time you hold down crouch your mesh repeatedly bounces up and down. I've noticed this with myself and other players. We're not repeatedly bashing the crouch button, on our screen we're just continually crouched but the mesh thinks otherwise.

It's one of those things that you can't realise that you're doing until somebody points it out, an innocent act. There are some people who do crouch spam though, best way to tell if somebodies doing it is that they will hit constant torso and some head. If somebody blows your head off while crouched it normally means their mesh is just fucked.

Kami the issue is about trouble on the server.

Those who cause trouble, arguing, teamkilling, insulting FGS etc, and using black guy words on server, then taunting admins that he cant be banned etc, dont get to dictate the following week, that is all. It's getting out of hand, we are well within our right to uphold this point. So no clan war the following week seems perfectly reasonable to me.

We dont rule out clan war, but their suggestion is proposterous, that Spaz gets to pick the best atdm players and fight a 0-aug clan in custom augs. I don't see the logic. I accept he has not started any stupid topics about admin etc, but let the dust settle...

CROUCHING,

Spaz, the bumping is not the same as buggin. Buggin looks different, depending on who is doing, they might flicker, or even just their arms might move, its not necessarily that you will see their torso move, but u need to machine gun your crouch button to do it.

It does make me laugh that "elite" players do this, enter a spwnroom, crouching or crouchbugging and they talk about skill, it's really so funny.

For a long time in Deus Ex, since ppl rose against NC, using DejaVu, the community has been run to satisfy vets, not beginners. 0-aug is not a skilled game, you have no fear of grenade explosions, 20mm, rockets or anything normal battlefield item and it all seems to me, to be geared to protect the vet's streak, rather than create a true battlefield mayhem. Skill is avoiding 20mm in 0-aug... not crouchbuggin in enemy spwnrooms.

Nono shadow. Crouch bugging is where the mesh looks like it's falling and crouch spamming is when somebody looks like they're crouching then getting up then crouching then getting up repeatedly.
