pls no less than 30. When I play DXSG maps on Wunderland, I get annoyed it ends so fast. Really 20 min to play a DXSG map is WAY too short. In 20 min you don't even get then chance of locking the base and securing your vents properly (especially on CMD_VI), so I say: no less than 30 min.ShadowRunner wrote:1. No-one was whining. And I encourage questions. It's healthy.
2.Actually no, I consulted Alex and Kaiden, made a poll, consulted FGS and then rented the server and configured it. Nobody was away. The FGS leaders and admins have decided on their settings
Hence 30 minute gametime. If any have noticed, that is a change from classic SG too. It was 38 to reflect SG-1 TV episodes. I might even do less than 30.
When Nobody handed me the editing and temporary "management" of SG, a lot of things were explained to me over the next year by him, Atlantis, Kaiden and Alex, feedback from players etc. And what you see now in terms of secret bases, maps, is the result of "fixing" issues. My biggest mistake was that the first two maps I made are very big and didn't anticipate how few players would be around in 2008.
DXSG on Wunderland also received criticism. Therefore I have taken Orbital off SG and left it on Wunderland with Gravity Rifle. Have fun.
It seems more want to play on EDH than atdm or SG server at the moment, but it is mostly a different kind of player and it's quite laggy, I think SG server can get more slots and provide something more stable, more interesting and more exciting... we will get there...
And for Skyline: that map is sick! I spend 20 min the other day on Wunderland, trying to nade all the strategic entrances and points, and only got to 3/4 of the map. That map is awesome large, with just too many ways to sneak into the various buildings (but i think i've found most of them!) so it would be a nice addition to the SG server. But maybe with some kind of net round the buildings to catch you, cause i can see a lot of ppl accidentaly speed jump of the buildings in the heat of the fight, resulting in a lot of frustration.
