Sodacans. Burping in people's faces, not many games offer this...

A good thing about beginnners server was the info given via the infolink. It did help new players and maybe the fast fire-rate thing could be fixed this way too?

Mass Effect 2 allows you to *love* your shipmates and say "go *love* yourself" to anyone who asks for help

It doesn't even compare to the can of beans in DX you can fly with.
But yeah, I've played a game a few days ago and I did notice it. It seems the technology is *loving* us up.

Is it posiible for some how to encode the game wchich will be automatically decreasing number of fps for example to 150? I never had more than 100! Maybe Im wrong but I think in UrT for example the limit is 125 fps ...

I have about 20 in combat, the most ever about 45 fps. Just makes me more tactical and work harder...

dude, to have a machine that'll max out at 20 fps in combat is a machine that was out of date 10 years ago. Get that *loving* metabolic end product sorted.

So now you are having a direct attack on me and calling me a cheater? Before Autumn 2008 I played Deus Ex with a broken very bad computer system. In fights I used to have 10-25 fps. I bet there's not one player around here who would say I didn't play good back then with a system like that. After I built a new computer in Autumn 2008, I had a system that could be called high end. With Intel E8400 C2D 3.0GHz processor and ATI Radeon HD 4850 I was able to get constant 2000 fps which made the game un-playable. I tested Deus Ex with different settings. Disabled one of the processor cores and checked how to game ran with different fps caps. If you haven't seen already, I've even posted a guide HERE ON THESE FORUMS, on how to make your computer run Deus Ex properly.

I don't know about your or anyone elses computer, but mine runs Deus Ex with fps capped to 200 (it's not always 200 anyway) the same way normally as an older single core system would. I don't run or fire faster than anyone else on the server. You saying that I'm taking an advantage of my better-than-average-computer-system is complete bs. Just because my computer is better than most people have, doesn't make a cheater. It's hell a lot easier for me to play with a good system, because I've also played with a bad one. I'd say that's the only advantage I'm getting :)

PS. When's the [REN] vs. [

If you werent retarded youd know what I am talking about. First of all, not everybody with high fps cheat, we all know that and Ive not once claimed that to be so. Recent year or two however have brought on a sudden increase in players with hardware that increase their gaming speed according to the growth in the framerate, which has been mentioned several times on plenty of forums.

I certainly do think that your computer is broken for this old game, since to root out all possible cheaters we will have to enforce 100-120 frame cap, that however seemed problematic to you according to your own words on Alpha forum. If you say you can not play with under 200 fps (where your eye only starts to see slideshow at 24 or so frames per second) then it clearly makes no sense.

I played 4 years on a computer that gave me average 20 fps, with fps dropping below 10 in intense fights. I know what skill level it is possibe to reach under these conditions and I also know the difference 60 or 100 fps offers. Never the less, I can see NO benefit in having fps above your screen refresh rate. If it has some kind of effect on your game its either psychological or breaks the old game somehow.

As stated previously in this thread AND in this post: I am not claiming you fire faster, I have no proof that you do. I am quoting your own words and point out that playing below 200 fps should not hinder the gameplay in ANY way. If it does, then your computer can not run dxmp normally.

200 FPS is already too fast
60~100 is normal speed, 120 is still a bit faster than normal

Clix said it gets faster around 140 and up. I dont think Sike has that bug anyway, but Phantom, Fullmoon and probably some others have it. To be frank it probably does get faster from 100 up but at first it isnt that obvious.

You have a point there, that playing with a fps rate above the display refresh rate is complete non-sense.

Anyway...
The game runs perfect when it's at 60fps.. but at times (on my notebook) it goes up to 150fps and my game goes into slomo mode! :ney:

I have to play in 120hz or the display doesn't work right with my current setup
FPS is the same as refreshrate, just to make it work a little smoother, although it only probably needs to be 60. I found 120 just makes it play that little bit better even when the refreshrate isn't.
