Perhaps as a third function it can make a small EMP area of effect around the player that would not only protect from grenades or small rockets and the like, but also protect from EMP blasts and disable turrets.

Hmmm, You are correct!... The fire extinguisher seems pretty useless compared to the prod... Maybe if you could also use it to beat people up, and actually put people who are on fire out with it, it would be a little more even.

Now there's some practical ideas. Would be *loving* awesome to bash someone over the head with fire extinguisher.

I like that emp multi-tool idea and bashing heads with a fire extinguisher... skills to get certain functions as well... sounds like a mod coming on...
