awesome topic.
I struggled with Pandorum, was a poor quality pirate copy lol...
Voyager was a good investment in comparison to the 600 billion space shuttle, which, woops, is not fully re-usable...
I'm sure everyone likes to think about aliens finding the probes...

Everyone knows that children in Arabia have a beard since the age of 3.

No, the gates create a wormhole between themselves over the vast distances. You still travel the 5,000 odd light years, you just do it instantly. As for the ships in the 3 different series', FTL flight just seems to be standard "point the ship and go nutshit fast".
The Event Horizon bent space around it using an artificially induced black hole, it then slipped through the hole created to go from point A to point B while basically crossing very little distance.

That was before the 'loleverythingisdisposable' era, in which we live now.

Barring the fairly remote chance they get hit by some random bit of space crap, those probes will still be intact in thousands, maybe even millions of years when another space faring species comes across them, or (assuming they don't burn up on re-entry, though I don't think they were ever designed for it) they crash land on some distant planet and either destroy the local eco-system (assuming it has one) with the varying crap they'll've undoubtedly picked up, or jump start the existing civilisation (again, assuming there is one and it isn't sufficiently advanced anyway) by several hundred years.
