Ok Guys, we are still short on coding, but Protocol is on board, so is WildCat Phoenix from the MIB mod.

Also I have started a DXMP: HR sub-forums at http://www.deusexmultiplayer.freeforums.org

We will base here, so Chinny, Magus, Sasquatch, Darma and anyone else who put their hand up, please check this out.

There is an overview of weapons and augs, and some basic info about Deus Ex 3.

The ball is really rolling now, here is our first piece of Artwork.

I'll be posting a list of objectives up today on the deusexmultiplayer.freeforums.org site.

From that you guys can take a look at what you want to attack.

My suggestion is that for the sample, everyone can get involved. I map the basic brushwork/texture work, then Magus or Chinny or Sasquatch have a go at movers and more complex, clever stuff. Maybe we split the map into sections even, street outside, club and back rooms. One mapper could attack .t3d prefabs, like tables or vent covers or whatever. The vents look extremely DX1.

Picking up on a point Ken made about custom maps. I begin to realize he is correct, fans cant make good gameplay usually.
For example, besides Twinz, the most popular maps on altfire are CS maps or default/modded custom jobs.
So imagination is banned from now on, I'm only porting maps from now on.

Well this is an interesting update:

Adam Jensen is voiced by Elias Toufexis. I wrote to Mr Toufexis, who said he could do it, voice our mod trailers, if Eidos allow it.

Here's the latest version of a first script, based on DX3 trailer parody.

ADAM: I never asked for this, if you want to make multiplayer, try to mod something...
ADAM: The year is 2011, it's a time of great innovation, it's also a time of chaos and conspiracy...
ADAM: I don't even know which server I'm on...
ELIZA: Breaking news, the riots continue on the Deus Ex forums, the rioters are protesting outside the Servers...
ELIZA: One of the world's leaders in controversial augmentation computer video games...
SARIF: These players Adam, they are like Noobs, always in the servers, hiding behind aliases and dynamic IP's...
SARIF: I need you to ban them...
SARIF: They can not stop us, they can not stop multiplayer...
ADAM: I never had a choice of what clan I joined...
MEGAN: Admin...
SARIF: How do you feel Adam? The fanbase may heal, but the community is not always so resiliant...
ADAM: Developers have more power than the modders...
ADAM: Everyone is fighting for Admin, for cheat codes...
BARRET: I'll own you noob...
ELIZA: The Admins have started banning people...
BARRET: You'll never headshot them...
ADAM: I'll never stop playing...

ELIZA: Breaking news, the BS continues on the Deus Ex forums, the biggest complainers don't even play the game...
ELIZA: One of the world's leaders in controversial augmentation computer video games have just come up with the augmented buttocks...

SARIF: They can not stop us mapping and modding, they can not stop multiplayer...
ADAM: I never had a choice of what clan I joined, how else do you think I made it into RTK...
MEGAN: mummy...
SARIF: How do you feel Adam? My anus may heal, but my pride is not always so resilient...
ADAM: Jesus has fractionally more power than the modders...
ADAM: Everyone is asking for Adminlogin, ffs...
BARRET: I'll own you noob with a stealth pistol...

Ste's on board... we have lots of music, kalman is making cool textures, Cozmo is starting on playerclass, it's moving along now. We aren't far from release, when this mod will get a lot easier, in terms of released assets being made available to us, it sounds even possible an SDK will be available as DLC. Journalists are playing DX3 and saying it's like DX1. Eidos forum users have started playing DXMP lol. It's all good.

We would love you to be in. Doing what? Coding or mapping or both? Cozmo is on playerclass, I heard Allan will look at UI, Nobody is kinda problem consultant. There are some guys who want to learn more coding or only have SP coding experience. Darma made some code for PEPS wep, but hasn't been tested. We will need more weps, some augs like ILS, Blades and Claymore. Maybe Blades and Claymore should be weps instead. Also you're a mapper and we can give you some ideas and resources to work from.

I would love to map. I won't be able to start for a while though.. At least I don't think so. I'll do what I can on my current computer, and continue my work onto the new rig afterward :)

Good luck, I know the feeling, been on six? different computers this year...
Well when you are ready to do something, touch base and we'll point you in the right direction,
I'm hoping soon, that we will get some assets, so life should be easy in future on the project.
Do you want to make something exactly like the DX3 location, or more conceptual like some of the merge DX3/1 ideas.
