windows 7 is much better... my brother told me that xp can only handle 3gb DDR3 memory, and it doesnt accept more
Only 32 bit version of XP uses 3.5GB ram.
64 bit one uses more.
but yeah, Win 7 is better anyway, and faster :3

you probably have a bad graphics card but the cpu and RAM look fine, at least better than my current PC which runs GTA4, COD4 on medium graphics, good FPS. you shouldn't have problem running DX smoothly, Vista is indeed a bad choice.. you might want to consider checking out your renders etc after installing win7

Yeah I might have to bite the bullet and set up a partition with Win 7, never done it before though, thanks for the info chaps.

My notebook has Win7 64Bit with 4GB and my stationary Big-Blue at Uni has Win7 32Bit with seriously 3GB (1x2GB+1x1GB) lol
