proof:first time i saw thehex on my server up, he joined with the name TheHex , i said Hi TheHex( i didnt know who he is and what he does:D ) and without seeing the lines TheHex left the game. and {zXc}DeathDragon entered the game. thehex disappeared and dragon appeared...

DeathDragon was always causing trouble in my server. Impostering and spamming. He has a dynamic IP. A nephthys range ban does the trick.

on a related note; why do we need AdvBan/Nephthys when we can simply range-ban in the INI with a wildcard?

Nephthys bans are useful because you can do them in-game. There's also a lot of stuff you can do like by name (effective against imposters) and by computer name. You set ban expiration dates, comments about the ban, and even change the ban message the player sees when he tries to join. There's also a parameter that only allows the player to join when an admin is logged on.

I have a ton of admins and banlist on my server was like 2 people.

Also gaming deluxe servers come with banlist already of 2 addresses, one i recognize is USA, other is not.

Also, so many people returning to DX, obviously will be trollage and fun to be had by some of those, not necessarily the ones that have announced themselves either.

yep his ip starts with 92

There needs to be alot of banning..... I have NO IDEA why admins hate banning.. DO IT lol Take this impostor out.

I had to ban Olo 12 times in one map, because the prick restarted his IP, rejoined, and tked. Advban isn't on the server yet, and if we range ban, then 3-4 other dx'ers get banned at the same time.

Is that possible to get someone's MAC address? That won't change with IP, and you can ban him permanently (maybe the worst idea)
