I largely agree, but regarding your mention of competitiveness costing players I just have to ask: you haven't forgotten that this is an online deathmatch shooter, right? Mod communities can do what they want, and I do say this without a trace of malice, but DXMP is a deathmatch shooter much in the vein of UT or Quake, et cetera in a long list. If people aren't competitive then I can fully assure that they are very dead. Good shooters have enjoyed vast popularity, and I dare anyone say Q3A, UT series, COD or CS, Halo, have had small player-base or empty servers. Just because couple kids learned their coding and mapping ropes creating aimbots or flying toilets doesn't mean DXMP never had the same potential.

In a way, Brad's conduct of past weeks has largely been possible due to a decade of sitting in zymeparty servers and pretending nothing useful needs to be coded. Spamming such as this should've been blocked in 2001, not 2013.

Personal life issues is no excuse to making you spam for hours on end in attempt to ruin the game for others by the way, don't care how bad it is either, thank *love* this crap didn't go on for as long as those toilet spammers did a few years ago, it was ridiculous.

As for this "cheating" fiasco, i know for a fact certain higher ping players do it when joining UK servers, to be able to compete with the competition of the sub-100 players. The easiest way to tell is if they play a way thats literally impossible to do with the ping they have, whether its FPS or some sort of CPU metabolic end product thats a different question, when you've played the game for ages you know whats possible and whats not at the end of the day. I think we can actually already prove today who lies about their FPS with something Cozmo is working on (I'm guessing you can change the detection limit as we tested it with 100, which seemed to work flawlessly alerting everybody in the chat about which players were at that precise time exceeding it.)

Taking your frustrations out on others is not the way to go about things though *cough* Sev, in today's game state there are alot of people who up their FPS (tends to be players who started after 2008 imo), but if your looking for somebody to blame, blame Phantom, who pretty much popularized it, but that wasn't without the help of the community discussing it all the time with no solution in hand because NO admin had the balls to get rid of him before it spread.

As i keep saying, if Cozmo and Poor and whoever else is working on this problem can solve it? You will notice how metabolic end product all these abusers become, unless they're actually decent anyway, which half probably are, so don't worry too much about it.

I oppose ALL forms of cheating including alot of binds players use, but you cant stop it from occurring so just get on with it, or spend months moaning before realizing you should have just got on with it like me and many many others.

Based on 9 years of playing primarily 0 augs, i'm safe to say i think half of THC abuse fps on and off, i think all if not most of FP$ do, Khaam does, alot of Americans do it when playing Euro, and vice versa. Its one of them, you're never going to know unless we get a mutator installed in all servers, 140fps guys, it's the way forward.

To sum up;
- Brad you're an absolute gimp who should probably go to the doctors.
- Administrators need to stop being female sex organ holes all the time, like Phantom being allowed to blatently abuse for long periods of time, being banned and then unbanned multiple times, if people cheat, LISTEN to your custom and get rid of them.
- We pray as a community that one day, a mutator or whatever it is will ultimately defeat the problem.

Is there any way to ban someone by MAC Address?

Given how this MAC Address idea was also discussed 7 years ago (possibly even before that) I suppose it is not, but who knows, maybe people now are more clever and come up with something that they couldn't do years back.

If we are switching back to discussing the new banning systems for the future.... lets discuss this in one of the four topics for that.
