why have u covered the hangars in grass?
For everyone who doesn't know it:
This is to prevent air-based attacks. Because everywhere around a hangar is grass, it's much harder to see the hangar and so it's much harder to hit and destroy it.
In fact in a hangar are airplanes who could start a counterattack. So it's a stratetic move to destroy the hangars first. But if you can't see them ...

BTT:
I haven't tested it 'til yet and I prefer to download it from somewhere else. The map isn't the smallest and I have a slow connection ...

I will fix a few things and upload it today...

I didn't realize it was an FGS member's comment... well the grass forces recon planes down to ground level, and makes their mission much more dangerous... renders satellites useless etc...

The server crashes are I am 99.9% sure due to the fake backdrop error.
This happened on Mainman's map when i tested online, and it crashed the server as well... one word - mirrors...I'll get it fixed, and if I can't I am simply going to replace the offending wall.


Just havent figured how to make the plane roll-on from touchdown to take-off position... but it looks dam good when it's flying over the castle and landing...

This is really a sort of RPG map. A kind of campaign map. Leaving your base to attack the enemy is a huge expedition, that will take several minutes...

Apologies for the bump but I just want to update ppl on this map.

I have added two planes now.

You can fly completely around the map in either direction and change direction, you can also triple click and return to airfield starting position.

The planes, if launched at separate times, can engage in aerial combat. It's best to have a pilot and gunner. From testing so far, it seems easier for the planes to attack troops in the castle, than it is for anti-aircraft defences on the castle roof.

Today, I am working on the next stage of the dogfighting...

Two new planes, which are large enough for players to sit inside. Also I am going to fix the rotation of the planes as much as possible, so that they rotate less...

N.B. If two planes use the same runway at the same time, use your brain, that's right, at least one of you isn't going to be taking off...

How To Dogfight: Click the plane like a door... change direction to enemy direction, tail him, kill him...

Ive played one of the versons of this and it KICKS ASS.

It would be best on a full server :)
Cant wait to play it. I might aswell get on FGS server :)

man you like to use smileys don't you :D (oh i used one myself :shock: and now again :o and again... (i could continue for a very long time but i won't ;-) ...)

but regarding the map, maybe it's just me, but certain areas create major lag for me. personally i think it's because of the vast size of the map. but then again it's probably just me.

nevertheless: good job Shadow
