a good way to pick up a good reaction speed in 0 augs is doing something you've never done before in order to kill somebody, i dont mean something absolutely noobish, but for example if your in an assault fight with somebody tough... bind to your sniper rifle and pick their head off, ok if it doesnt work first time keep trying, you will become good at it.

i used to watch Rosso in 2006/7 do it nicely, and i began practicing it, its quite easy once used to.

Yeah, I've seen you do things like that a couple of times. Usually I end up with my face caved in by a 30.06 round though. :D :smt046

You're still a nub though.

Damn now I feel like a noob from hell, I understand the concept of binding but what bind would you do for the snipe? Some people I've heard will use the right click for scope so they do a sort of double click (also I think that is cheap, no matter how this game is based on just killing people)

But this post has gone very long and yet my question remains unanswered: Is [REN]Chaos a known cheater?

Well, that depends what you define as cheating.
If it means using binds till to breaking point, then yes, I think.

Well I define cheating as going outside the normal parameters of gameplay to gain an unfair advantage on your opponents. Here is a list of what, to me, constitutes cheating:

- Aimbot
- Rapid-fire sniping
- Scope/shoot binding
- Using ANY cheat codes (U R 733t d00d!)
- Lam-laddering to an obviously too shadowy area of the map that wasn't made to be on (see: CMD) However, low-grav and the like this is an obvious exception as most areas of the map are just as accessible to the rest of us.

When it comes to Chaos, he seems most guilty of Aimbot. Don't get me wrong I'm not just some tool who dies a few times and gets his panties in a bunch and calls cheater. But when he is jumping around fast as hell and he gets you in a split second with one point-blank scoped sniper shot that just seems to impossible for words. And the speed consistency with which he head shoots as soon as you hit the ground (or sometimes, while your in the air) is too close to seem human.

Also, in one game a guy asked him "How can I ever cheat as good as chaos" to which chaos replied "You'll never get the chance."

WTF? Taunting us now?

All in all, whether he cheats or not, I cannot deny that every time I spend one match with him, I get better. Especially in aug play, where I have taken up a sharp new strategy that I haven't seen used in a while with throwing knives, I am killing him more and more to the point he has bitched at me, which felt good.

So this is really just curiosity, not justice. Unless EVERY DX player started cheating, I find it useful to come across someone who is more invincible than most due to hax or whatnot. If you can beat that while remaining honorable, you're THE metabolic end product, like me!

:D

binds are for people who want to win just that bit too much...

I can take a few insults no problem, but at least point out what is homosexual, because I know EVERYONE here will agree that AIMBOT is homo.

On a side note, homosexual insults are lame nowadays. It is hard to successfully use homosexual slurs to a guy who has indeed sucked cocked before, I'm bi tool :P

Melee sniping and mid-air headshots are easy. Back when I played that's where most of my kills came from. I doubt Chaos is anything special compared to some of the old players.

What chin said is partially true...

All if not most ATDM players have some crazy ass binds, some that trick the game into immediately maxing out certain skills...

I dont think a medbind is noobish though, because 95% of players use one, theres a few different binds for using medkits out there and its become somewhat normal to have one, whatever gametype you prefer.

Also to what Kam said, if you are still in touch any of these old players you speak of... why not have one of them come back, practice, and show Rosso how its done?

Rosso is both a VERY good 0 augger and ATDM player, something which cant be said about many, because in most cases 0 auggers hate atdm, and atdm players hate 0 augs.

And I can even tell you why..
0auggers hate ATDM, because the games do not run balanced.
One up-skilled and augged player has a big advantage towards the others.

Auggers hate 0augs because they're convinced that ATDM is the "TRUE" gametype of DX
and that all non ATDM players are noobs because they have to take care of much less when playing.

ATDM might have been the initial gametype when DXMP started,
however, what those players always forget is that ATDM was born out of the conversion
of the single player game style where balance problems towards other players didn't exist.
Thus, ATDM is very imbalanced, since players can join a server whenever they want and those who join in the middle of the game
need to face the up-skilled and augged players and just get slaughtered.
