In other words you are being taught by a failed professional. So you can expect a lack of professionalism and genuine expertise. A lot of teacher's are like the kids they teach in this respect or far too political and opinionated. Kids are very easy to teach in comparison to students or postgraduates. I'd say uni students and over 40's are the hardest to teach, from my experience.

As self-professed internet wizards, you should probably understand the use of a FB FGS page, it's not a forum lol...
There are a lot of failed professionals, yes. But for instance in my uni most of them have been teachers at other universities and they publish and experiment and they are pretty well known too. My philosophy professor was a teacher at Sorbonne, Princeton etc, my film teacher won twice on Sundance, my mentor/film teacher graduated from Yale recently. The difference is that these guys cost a lot of money and my uni is a private one. State financed institutions will never have the money to afford professionals like these people, that's why education is usually quite bad, especially in Eastern-Europe. Uni students are difficult to teach because they can tell when they are dealing with a professional, unlike many younger students. :(

Maybe you went to a very intense and well-run state school, because I could only say that about the private school I attended, but yes self-education via internet is distorted and limited perhaps and highly ill-discplined. Private school and state school were totally different for me, the private school was a pretty famous one, Madonna sent her kid there etc, the culture is totally different when there's a paying customer. At the grammar school I went to, it was a joke, a 6th former could turn up 3 hours late and teachers did nothing, as if powerless or didn't care at all. I probably have a low opinion of state-run school teachers as a result and blame them for our UK riots lol.

One of our teachers kept 400 porn mags in his desk (The German language teacher Mr Whitney incidentally), another teacher cried on his first day. Another teacher was screwing the student assistant teacher ( she was hot, never wore a bra and leaned over our desks way too far). Another teacher was screwing a 6th form girl. It was the same at Art College, a guy got thrown out for having sex with a girl that the teacher fancied. Uni was a joke too, for one essay I was asked to provide a Marxist solution to Hitler's theories, I had to pinch myself and remind myself I was studying to be a professional photographer. If I took a fashion photograph, I was a criminal and incurred the wrath of the Islington commie lesbo teacher. The guy who won the award to work at The Independent, won it basically because the teacher, again, fancied him. It was admitted by both as well. [/rant :) ]

The UK is in bit's and has been for years and will be for many more. The riots if thats what you want to call well they were a joke as i was in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birkenhead WORKING I might add!! (wrong place wrong time as always) I can honestly say they were ALL a little scrap in the park nothing more than a morning stroll in Liverpool with a baseball bat and a big Rottweiler on lead as normal. When S*** hits the fan in a few years the UK will be a war zone. You talk about education...a majority don't have any and don't care and those that do have been done over in every which way possible by the UK government and there the ones who will start a UK wide riot and the police will be out numbered yet again.. by millions this time not a few thousand brain dead idiots. Sunday Rant over. (By the way mapping is stressful)

If you get stressed while mapping, you're doing it wrong. :)

Everyone knows it crashes all the time or when it feels like it, thats the only annoying thing about it!

I actually managed to find a pattern in the crashes and avoided them at some point.

Like one of the most common to me was selecting an actor either on purpose or by accident, opening the Properties tab of it and deselecting the actor, cause a mean crash if you don't react quickly.

:-D

Yeah that is one of my main source of crashing, it usually gets me saying nonononnono followed by either a rather loud FFFFFFFFFFFFFF or a phew! ;-)
