lol Anax... did u know that TESCO are hated. There was a riot involving 400 police in Bristol, because they built a TESCO in the middle of an artist's colony called People's Republic of Stoke's Croft. People were chucking concrete from roofs onto cops and petrol bombing their vehicles, it was a big event which left the rest of Bristol wide open to a crime spree.

Rules are there to be broken, as long as you have ONE add in the map, it doesn't matter how many semi-solids you add after that.
Only when you fall through the floor, do you have to say to yourself, ok this needs to be an add. Or if you need to subtract into it.

Found my bug. simple and stupid on my behalf and a major pish take to fix as well. Mappers don't re size... say a building with subtract in it and deco and a copy of a repairbot + housing and keypad2, the bot and housing and keypad2 will vanish on a rebuild and lucky if that's all that vanishes yet they show in game and the 2d view window so there still there but will not show on any other view...yet mappers already knew that no doubt :roll: Also re size to grid on UED2 wont work it will align say x/y on 1 view but change again on y/x view at the same time and never align up in both windows. also open the folder to see the map file you just saved your map in while using UED2 and doing so will crash UED2 when you close the folder your map is saved in.

lol it all seems very buggy, the most difficulty I've had so far has been with movers not working properly

I had problems with movers when first starting mapping, not so much nowadays as it's all built on grid now. do what Chin and Shadow suggested and you should be fine from now on :-D

I suspect some mappers are not zooming in and seeing if the brush is actually on grid.

I don't do this because I always right click a corner, which automatically aligns to grid, so it saves the time of checking.

I'd be interested to see what other mappers say, because I know some perfect maps weren't made that way.

i try sticking to the 16's grid :) ... but with movers ,lights , n other small stuff i stick to 4 or 2.

I stick to grid size set to 1 yet build on 16 grid scale and as low as 2 on very small details and right click as Shadow said but double check it's right in case i set the size of by several units on either direction.
