I'd say the game needs modernization and intervention on the masterserver, but not by us - a proper process, without it, it is like Lord of the Flies, a jungle full of kids trying to kill and ban each other under aliases. That could be as simple as setting up an e-mail system from hosters to the relevant organisation. Maybe there are test grants available from someone for coders to spend proper time on it and adding original SP functions.

Also I think to myself, that's not enough, even with funding. Source Code, new engine, etc. They'll keep coming like Zombies!

It's a common cycle in DXMP, someone gets delt a bad hand or has something terrible happen to them and they take it out on the players. Those that have the maturity would just get on with it, and perhaps add positively to the community. However many don't have this and so this cycle will continue I'm sure, been here too many times over the years...

Such meticulous spamming I have never seen before 2010 or so, actually, when that European kid used to do it. Essentially it deals with abusing the somewhat useless anti-spam measure on MTL that endured surprising amount of years. As critical I was about coding proper anti-spam, it would appear that MTL was somewhat sufficient. New ANNA solves this issue beautifully.

Crashing servers? DXMP players have been doing it since.. I don't know.. 10 years ago? First biggest such attack was made on the largely popular GODZ server that, now looking back, did keep the game alive, and I believe some members here were involved in it. I actually thought Brad might be nochanc, at some point.

It wasn't before ca 2006 when it became epidemic, as dejavu crashed or disabled every dxmp server other than his own.

You can get enhanced fire rate without having huge fps. You could also go and cap your fps once the mod comes out. When one of you clan mates has gone out and said you have enhanced firerate (not gonna name him), then there surely is an air of suspicion...
