I have posted statistical graphs more than once on the Alpha forums, showing how popular the server was.

then it MUST have been the weed...

oh yeah this reminds of a quote from my dutch teacher last year: you have lies, big lies and you have statistics.

I for one do not rely on statistics... but if you want you can do so.

There are four servers that are busy...

FGS
RTK
A
EDH

I dont think anyone disputes this fact.

I dont think A is the busiest. It is not easy for me to connect to that server. MMusercontrol? the computer tends to freeze or gpf.

I think probably EDH is the busiest. The server that Alex threatened first.

Cath Terra was one of the most popular servers, often full. You'd have to never look at the masterserver to not know this.

With the movement of players over to DXMP.net, the server has gone quiet.

This topic is dull.

Well complain to the person who made it?
movement over to dxmp.net? who is visiting those forums? no-one.

Since IchoTolot announced that he wished certain topics to remain open. Here is some food for thought from an expert....

When a denial of service attack occurs. The definition and nature of the attack's result is always the target's connection being Flooded and rendered inoperable. In other words, a server loses total internet connectivity. Im sure you are well aware....

The Alpha forums were down. Unfortunately, a web page with ALPHA saying "good bye" was raised as an HTML page. We accessed this page through going to where the forums. Im sure you remember that the forums redirected you to the "good bye" page.

Ok, so why is the Alpha server, serving a web page if Alex claims the server is continuously being Denial Of Service Attacked? The answer is that there was no denial of service attack. If there was a Denial of Service Attack....the server would not be able to serve anything of any kind, nor would a connection be establishable.

To recover from a denial of service attack, you just release your IP through

Start ---> Run ----> CMD ----> Ipconfig/release, then you unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds. You then do Ipconfig/renew.

If a denial of service attack succeeds first, the target's system is no longer online since the connection was flooded. The system being online, it is impossible for someone to connect remotely and reformat when a socket and a port, nor a connection is available to actually receive the connection by the client....since it was Denial of Service Attacked.

any source code owned by Alpha in which permission is not obtained from Alpha directly, that an Exploit will be directly programmed intentionally to attack that user's PC. Those are Alex's words in that thread.

Epic Games owns the Unreal Engine. Ion storm merely licensed it for their use to create DeusEx. Eidos is the distributor to the game.

The EULA included a line stating that no modification will be coded to attack another PC. Also, in most nations in the world, intentionally attacking by network a PC is regarded as CyberTerrorism and treated as a Felony.

Those who are innocent have nothing to hide.

HI, Im going to complain that im DDoSed even though I have a webpage that has been redirected and my server handling the redirect active while im talking" ???

And where is this proof of a dos attack?

We set the domainname to refer to another webpage, instead of using our own server. We referred to http://dxalphai.googlepages.com/

Seeing as the DDoS was by IP and not domain, the domain did work.

You clearly don't have experience, you talk about Windows and a normal house PC, we use Linux and a special server.

"Those who are... to hide"
What an argument... you actually believe that yourself?
We hide our code to prevent other people from editing it or whatsoever.

None of our code attacks another PC.

See my response above, and the graph was lost due to a long time interval.

And we have already been notified by people that DejaVu actually admitted that he DDoSed us.

these are not my words as I stated in previous post.
I have no quarrel or point to prove here.

HDD, show evidence that there was no attack?
Also if there was no attack, I would have been able too access my ftp account etc.
The server's host needed to be contacted in order too get connection again.
So stop telling senseless bs without evidence, thanks.

HDD, you are often first to appear when Alex is quarelling with someone...
dont become a vulture plz.

I just posted this pm I received from someone because I wanted to see the response, I dont fully understand the subject matter that is all. Obviously people want to know the truth, whether Deja did it or not, any proof would help settle the matter.

I found it interesting because I didnt know the structure between Epic and Ion etc...
