Why should i change/remove a filter who is existent since years? Do i should this only for few stupid ppl who cant talk in a nice language? NEVER!
I think it's too late for anyone to change his/her grammar habits at this age. What concerns most of us is not actually filtering the words but replacing them with ridiculus words like "loving" when whatever is meant to be said is totally the opposit. As there isn't a proper word to change "f

If they see their way of speaking is not compatible to the board, they need to change something or they can't state their opinion.. simple as that.

How about removing filter and warning those who repeatedly and annoyingly abuse the words? Just because someone has a dirty word hidden in every 10th post doesn't mean he should be banished from society?

I doubt that anyone of us got the time to count the bad language amount of every user and issue warnings accordingly.

It doesn't need to be counted. You notice how often people talk dirty anyway and you could tell right now who has the dirtiest mouth here. Admins could make relatively fair decisions.

I assume you don't quite understand me. I said that as a way to notice who should be warned for talking dirty once the filter's removed. It does make sense.

Ok you mean if the filter are removed should everyone become a warning who talk in this dirty language.

I think what Chris means is:
1. remove the filter
2. warn ppl who use foul language excessivly. And he's counting on the common sense and right judgement of the admins to decide when something is excessive.
Personaly, I think filters (in any form, but this one in particular, i.e. a word filter) are kinda redundant. In this case you can say: 'Ok let's put a filter on those nasty words so young ppl can't see them!'. And I totaly agree with that, but what we fail to realize is that putting a filter on those words is in a way not doing his job (sheltering the young'uns) because they will know what word is intended out of context. What we actualy should do is put a filter on the meaning of a word, and not the word itself (if that makes any sense), cause it is that what harms ppl the most, not the word, the content.
Ok I'm gonna stop talking now xD

Yes but only if it happens repeatedly and annoyingly so not just in a single topic but multiple.

lmao I agree it is not the word that is bad, it is the meaning behind it. but there is no way to censor the meaning of the word, and replacing fu ck in g with loving doesn't do the job because it is very clear when someone does not intend to use the word loving in their sentence.
honestly it is the context that makes the meaning not the word or the actual meaning of the word.
so like I said, leave the censor or remove it because I don't really care.

Some old tanks (vehicles) tend to burn whatever is put in their tanks ( *love* ) because they are using such a high temperature.
