@Psycho
You're more than welcome to do so, of course. This modification was made for the public, to aid both players and serverhosters.

Ok, my server is on GD, and requires a command line. What's the command line with ANNA?

There's actually no need to change the commandline, you can launch ANNA by adding this to your DeusEx.ini:
Code: Select all
ServerPackages=ANNA101
ServerActors=ANNA101.ANNAManager
If you prefer commandline, you can just change the Game=XXX (<= current value) to Game=ANNA101.ANNATeam

Ah okay, thank you

Sorry to be a pain, but noticed a bug already.
In ATDM, if I spectate, then use the join game feature, I don't have skillpoints:

Cheers, will look into that. I guess we forgot to test it properly with the ATDM gamemode; sorry for that.
#2: Identified & fixed the problem, fix will be available in ANNA102. In the meanwhile either disable the spectating mode (by opening ANNA.ini and setting bEnableSpectating to False), or don't use ANNA until ANNA102 is released.

Hey guys, we have been testing this as Psy has said out of myself Valex Psy and Shades only myself had no lag the others did quite badly from what I hear. Congrats on ANNA though, for me at least it felt nice and smooth with no erratic ping fluctuations unlike MTL.

Did the others also lag without ANNA? Or did ANNA seem to cause it? If so, we would have to look into it, seeing as you don't have any lag. We did try to optimize some network related things, yet aren't too sure if people actually will notice.
Should you have feature requests or bug reports, be sure to let us know!

Would be great if you could add the option to spectate individuals (like viewid)
I think its great help for beginners to watch how other players do it.

It has been implemented in ANNA102, yet it will not replicate augmentations, skills and such. It has a 100% identical function to viewid. Perhaps in a further version it will also copy the augmentations and such.

Not naming anyone, but one player has been rifling way too fast. Eg... We'll both try to snipe, with me firing first, then he'll kill me with an assault rifle before mine is even drawn. Same thing when they crouch and spray with assault; they do far much more damage than is possible with one burst from a distance. Sometimes you can even see how the tracers are too dense.
On a friend's server (privately, ofc), I managed to recreate this just by running DX at a higher speed before joining. In the next ANNA, would it be possible to check how fast DX is running and adjust it? Doesn't sound plausible with UnrealScript though, so possibly even just check things like time between shots on the server? It's getting really frustrating in-game.
