Admins on dxms forums were invited to feck Spaz over using some mod or other created by [A]lex. It began with "MM" I think. Jon's invitation was based on the fact that Spaz had a dynamic IP and the dxms quote I can still remember "editing system files to reduce player performance". I said I would have nothing to do with it and asked on alpha, isnt that illegal. To which Alpha turned round and said I was a liar and [A]lex's mod could never do such a thing. But LOL if so, how come I was invited by a dxms admin to do such a thing to Spaz. After that Alex chose to make war on me. But truth is, I was not going be admin on a server which did such things in secret to Spaz or anyone. In the whole time, no-one from alpha showed me ever any evidence of Spaz deserving such treatment I never saw any myself.

At that point I had never seen Spaz abuse anyone in game. Also when I gave Jon admin on Factory, he was trying to ban Spaz within 45 seconds of each other "greeting" each other.

This mod of which Spaz speaks, was the forerunner of Adv Ban. I am surprised you don't know about this Nobody, it is the reason Alex gives me so much metabolic end product sometimes I feel, Jon and Max too. The irony is, I made life hard for myself with alpha, the thanks I get from Spaz, is metabolic end product too.
I dont care who spat on who, kids in the playground shouldnt be messing with grown up weapons...alsp I think alpha are silly, attacking people for speaking what is right or wrong or sometimes just plain old truth, does no-one any good. Like I said, none of them are banned here, but they have for years been fuelling hate in certain areas, and silly mods is one of them.

And sure, Alex and Deja are great minds who think alike...It's all a bit silly, Alpha should have just said when the logs got stolen and exposed, "ok sorry, we been a bit harsh, bossy and we wont threaten again, and we co-operate, lets run these servers and not *love* around anymore", but instead they left, you can run but you cant hide...

AdvBan #1 Bans your computer name + IP matching it
AdvBan #2 Bans your CD path, or installation directory
AdvBan #3 bans something I can't remember, but system restore got around it.
AdvBan #4 bans windows files which are unique to a computer, which backups, restores etc can't get around. Alex didn't give #3/#4 out though.

None effect your system negatively or anything, but I wasn't aware of anything like..I always assumed AdvBan was to counter people like HDD and DOGNY.

It might have been called MMuserControl or something, but I could be wrong, might be MMusersomething else... but Magus would remember...

but this mod mysteriously could "edit system files to reduce player performance" and I was invited to use it on Spaz, by an alpha member. And this is very old news indeed.

That? It's in the labs, anyone can download it, and I don't think that can alter system files...Well you could set someones name but I don't think you could i.e. make them lag.

Although maybe it's possible to set their maxframerate to 4, hm..

I concur that is the genuine untampered, unedited, post by Jon, which was made in the admin private section of dxms forums. There were about 6 admins, Jon, Max, Me, Cozmo, Magus, dunno who else.
