The [FGS] Clan

I have a choice.

I can run DXSG with full SG gametype or not. Apart from the fact it is has a vast admin list of commands, I know very little about SG gametype. but then it could be useful to have the server running normal DX, only tactical would have to be removed to lend it for clan war etc...

The issue is:
I have been told likelyhood of more GPF using the gametype. GPF was non-existent with superweapons on Factory, but there are some on Wunderland. The new server is Quadcore, so perhaps SG is no problem? But as mentioned, having it easily ready for clan war is very useful...

to host SG gametype

1. make a shortcut to your deusex.exe
2. open the properties, goto the second tab, there to the first edit field where the path to the target file is specified
3. goto the end of that path make a space and add: DXSG_Area51Bunker_V3_152?Name=Host?Game=SG_MOD152.SGGameInfo?Class=SG_MOD152.SGJCDenton?Team=1?Skin=?Face= -server -LOG=server.log
4. click to OK to save the changes
5. now double click to your new shortcut and it will load a dedicated server (see it as symbol in the task tray)
6. for joining your server you can easily start your deusex by the deusex.exe and then join the server over the MP or LAN screen
z. optionally you can rename your shortcut for recognizing it again (i.e. DeusEx(SG_MOD152))

this is for making SG gametype.

IF I dont make start.bat for SG gametype

should I

1. just use normal DXMP_Smugglerblahblah command line ???

OR DO I NEED TO

2. DXSG_Area51Bunker_V3_152blahblah command line ???

I vote keep SG

Why don't you just alternate between the two Shadowrunner?
.... or would that be too difficult? Sorry I don't know much about servers, this was a serious question.

You could run the SG Gametype for a week and then Back to Normal Gametype the next. That way you could make everyone happy! And we could have cake and sing songs and laugh together... oh the laughter we could share!

There are a few differences between normal and SG gametype so think it can stay.

The bottom line for me, which causes more gpf, normal or SG...

SG would be fun, sending players to prison etc and it would give people a taste of the old SG servers...

I want something new, I think I have never played SG with tactical mod ...

Tactical mod kicks ass, and it'd be fairly easy to alternate between the two servers by having 2 user/dx.ini's. Just switch between them for each type you want, have a clanwar ini, standard play ini, sg ini. That sorta thing.

SG kicks ass. Therefore, I vote yes

just play regular dx and forget the gametypes
