HDD, I 100% guarantee you were a noob and copied an actor or mover or brush. I had this problem and took it to Alpha and Max was right, it's a copy issue.
duplicate ftw

Both duplicating and copy pasting WILL cause you problems if you manage to do it with a BSP tree. There's no safe way, really.

I never have a problem with duplicate...what problems people get?

well talking of duplicating. i didnt duplicate a BSP tree or anything.
no MTL has a problem with skyboxes. and the standard maps have that property fixed. and i dunno which. so i copied/pasted the skyzoneinfo actor.
however another problem. i cant delete ANY actors. i tried deleting a mover and it just stays there. i cant wipe the medmots or any actor classes :O

sike is on the verge of talking crap.
This error is 100% DEFINITELY caused by copying and if you TRY duplicating, I am sure 99.9% that you will have no problem.
I didnt say BSP, runaway loop is because you copied brushes, movers or actors...
Problem solved.

I'm not saying actors is the problem... I think you have copied an innocent looking brush, and you copied it more than once...
but deleting undeletable actors is simple.
Close the editor and try again... you may have to try 10-20 times, but it's an editor problem, not a map problem.
They will eventually delete. Just keep working on the map.

Yes, select one actor or brush and look, HOW many actors were selected.
When making SG maps, I've sometimes had the problem, that 2 were selected and I could just delete the brush after deleting the first, saving, closing the editor, reloading the map and deleting the second one.

I had stopped work on several maps because of this, until you told me how to fix these editor problems... so simply fixed as well.
