The [FGS] Clan

It is true that as I have been freelancing, and this is the UK, where invoices take 3 years to get paid etc... my funds and time are limited, but to be honest I wish to close the servers, because I wish to take a break from the crap in DX.

The reason is this...

In 2006/2007 it was a pleasure to admin servers.

In 2008, it was nothing but this... Players who got their kicks spoiling other people's fun. It is not fun to spoil other people's fun. Also I take a break from DX, because this community has sunk to new levels. This clan was attacked in various ways by alpha members. Only one of those ever made any kind of apology for it, namely Kaiden. I see they have not really "left", they are still trying to influence the community and still are full of metabolic end product.
In 2008, Same goes for Ken, Sike and a lot of others who got involved in the politics and friendships of DX, rather than what is right and what is wrong. The problem is, most of you are half my age and can't see what is right or wrong, or why it's important to a dying unpopular game.

I think no-one can argue when I say that there are now more players who like to cause pain, than there are players who like to create fun. Alex was the biggest sadist in DX, Sike is too, there are others...

What disturbs me the most, is that it is the MOST skilled players in Deus Ex, are the ones this year causing the metabolic end product, that did the most evil, most dishonest, and most useless things. And yes, I am prepared to blame. It's not only the Sike's and the Spaz's, they might be annoying, but they arent banning, lying, judging, dictating, threatening, trashing, crashing and whatever else certain clans did this year...

It is this pathetic aspect to the community that causes me to me bored and see little point in funding it. I did my best to help alpha, even when under attack by them, they received the info they needed and could not have obtained without me. Yet from their posts, you'd think I was banned for crashing their servers or hacking their forums, something in fact they did allege.

These pricks and certain others have left a legacy in DX, of it being acceptable to cheat, to disrespect, to ban, to lie, to worship veterans rather than respect noobs. You guys have left the door wide open, by causing utter metabolic end product, then "leaving", then sitting on forums and judging those that remain, you deserve all that is coming to you to be honest, you are to blame for the death as much as deja vu or anyone else. You failed to clear up your mess. Sitting there and pretending to be so cool that you don't play DX anymore doesnt convince anyone that you arent pricks. You might as well stfu and play, or stfu about who does still play... right now, what you do is basically useless... your bans have split the mapping community in half... your lies have caused utter metabolic end product. And your crap stinks even from here, truly taking the urine, to do what you did, then leave.

The only person to clear up his poo, was Kaiden. What really makes me laugh is the way you think are on moral high ground. Sometimes you can't lie, bs, you just have to admit error and apologize. So with that in mind, sorry everyone, but the servers will close, possibly very soon, but it is extremely unlikely I will still rent them after Xmas, if not sooner.

And sorry also, you can see from my shoddy effort, how good Roi and Icho were at providing support over all these years. What alpha did to me/servers/forums/anihex etc, was disrespect to Roi and Icho, we had every right to keep FGS alive in Icho's absence, it was none of their *loving* business what weps we hosted, or what rules we made on server, or how noob we were when we started in FGS.

And I am really sorry to FGS, I will definitely close the servers. But I will consider re-opening them after Xmas, if this community improves. And Jake and Dae can forget posting... I know that Dae will prolly come up with some other amusing insult about autism, while Jake will predictably agree with me in a fairly useless and uninformative reply. It's a shame, cos there are some decent ppl in FGS and some decent ppl play on server... but unfortunately you are a minority these days... sorry.

But if you want people to play DX, make it fun, not pain...
otherwise enjoy an empty laggy server...

There is only one "community" admin who is behaving with any brains.

It is shameful that a "community" forums such as alpha contains such boring racist crap about the Spanish players and so forth. It is shameful that they split the mappers with their bans, yet laugh along with racists. OK sometimes it is not the admin making the racist comment, but banning mappers for no apparent reason, and congratulating racists, it's hardly community spirit. In fact it is divisive.

As long as DX players view alpha as the community forums, DX is fucked, shameful and I will have no part of it. Factory is free for all, there, the only admin is Chinny now, it doesnt divide the community the way that alpha does. Yet you are all on alpha, laughing at spaniards and "niggers" and "nips" and agreeing with every single lie that is told.

Same on server, in 2007 there was a majority of experienced/good players on a server, being an admin was easy, cos ppl obeyed the consensus, but these days, even my own clan members are the ones stopping my game, causing me to put on the admin hat when I'd rather play. wasting my life, which is 40 years old and well past being fucked around by some stupid teenagers.

I hope you understand. Pull your *loving* selves together, respect all players, even Spaniards, even Hasharin and Sike, even those who dont play, but sit on forums bitching, like James, respect all, make it fun for all.

and if fun is causing pain, then leave, grow up, join the army, get a life.

And if you leave, really *loving* leave plz, dont sit there bitching those who still play, like they do on alpha. Just *loving* stfu about noobs who still play DX, it is their right.

Nice post we salute u and your patrisim and your efforts to keep this game alive but how do u continue to help brats that don't appreciate your time or effort or even money you've invested in a dead community.

If anyone should be thanked, it is Roi, Icho and Nobody, what I did was very small in comparison. I don't think anyone realizes the amount of time they put into it, and the professionalism and quality of their support. Same goes for Majestic and Kuchcik also...Khaamilus did more for FGS than me, I tried hard, but I've never been very good at being a *loving* german.

2. The thing is... the community was not really dead serverwise before Alex started on us and then decided to "leave"...

There was opportunity for FGS and A to work together, but that was laughed at... but ironic really, we have the best [A] member in our clan now.

Also not many people know this, but we anticipated a LONG time ago, that standards were dropping and that the whole idea of clans was stupid. We proposed in spring of this year a council between the following clans...(the ones with populated servers)

and some other clans I forgot...

Guess what... ALL agreed this was a good idea, to prevent one clan or player, abusing another clan or player's server. a ban would mean banned on all council servers.

ALL agreed except one clan... guess which clan... yep... [A]. The reply was in fact "no, I spit in your face"... still have the log, it's a classic. So the council of servermasters never happened. So idiots got to run riot this year on various servers. No disrespect, but Dios and Brad's servers are not the greatest, but the community is split now. Noobs play on noob servers, and vets sit on forums bitching the noobs. Sorry but the noobs get my vote.

Finally, why did I not mention Deja Vu in any of my blame? Did he ever talk about banning a kid off a masterserver? Did he ever single out individuals in the community? Did he ever harass an admin on a server to the point of exasperation? Did he lie about noobs ever? etc etc etc...
sure, he's to blame for a lot, but not for our failures in 2008.

I really feel [A] should either start to respect and work with others, or just truly *loving* leave and forever stfu about those who decide to stay.

And to answer your question, I didnt help anyone, I promoted my mapping, promoted FGS, promoted Wunderland and SG, all my favourite things...

A shame, but a good point. When I came on in June or July (I forget which), the game was extremely fun to play, now however, in just a couple of months, it's just as you say. Too many dickheads online spoiling everything by spawnkilling, nading, unbalancing teams, and trash-talking everyone including my newly beloved ~[E]~. And that's just Wunderland, I can't speak for the other servers. It hurts me to say this about a game that's been in my life for so long, but, at this rate, DX just deserves to crawl into a dark corner and die quietly. I'd like to think that I could've made a difference if I'd come in earlier to the game, as maybe I could've gotten admin abilities, no, I'm not asking for it, I know I wouldn't get it, I've not been around long enough to show I'm trustworthy enough. Even though I don't entirely agree with it, and I know you don't have to have it from someone over half your age, I support you Shadow. I just wish we could've played together more often.
