Urban Terror can be described as a Hollywood tactical shooter; somewhat realism based, but the motto is "fun over realism". This results in a very unique, enjoyable and addictive game.


UrT is a free game, it's based on Quake 3 Arena engine but it doesn't require Q3A anymore, thanks to ioQuake.

Some features of UrT:
-many realistic weapons, such as effective assault rifles (M4, LR300), quick submachine guns (MP5, UMP45), pistols (Desert Eagle, Berreta F-92), powerful sniper rifles (PSG-1, Remington SR-8), grenades and much more!
-a wide range of accesories, allowing you to adjust your weapons and extend your combat performance, such as silencers, lasers, medkits, kevlars, helmets, goggles and many more,
-lots of different, detailed maps,
-growing fan community,
-many different gametypes, such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Hold the Flag, Bomb Mode or Survivor
-quick, fast-paced gameplay with many special moves such as walljumping or powersliding

I'm quite surprised to see English villages, Elgin and Thingley...
I also though Eagle, Oil Depot and Maya looked cool maps...

you know eagle is based on the same thing FLY THE PLANES is based on right?

It looks it...Laughed my head off on Return to Castle Wolfenstein when I ran into a radio room with a german operator listening to the music... and then later the cable car ride...

Hello people.
I see that some of you play Urban Terror.
I played that before and it is great game to improve skills even more.
But there is one problem. I can not resolve masterserver problem.
Can you guys please say how to solve that issues.
I tried with tips on their forums but that do not work for me.
I hope someone will answer to me.

I think it's been a while since any of us have played UrT so this might not be the right place to look for a solution. As far as I remember chin.democ and kuchcik used to be pretty active for a relatively long time so they might know some forums or people who might be able to help. I'd suggest that you send them a private message and go from there?

I recently installed Urban Terror, whenever I enter a server the map loads to around 80% then crashes.

I tried registering an account for urban terror with that site some days ago but i couldn't log in, I just tried it now and the code worked, I think I should be able to play now? I'll redownload the game and try!

On your 'q3config.cfg', probably located at: find.. replace that to: ..that should fix it.
