The only great Metallica song I know is 'One' and I've heard plenty of Metallica. They're all right, just not excellent.
For good hard rock, I recommend Guns N' Roses. They were leet.

and ya I like them both although Metallica more than GnR. and thats just because I like Metal and id really prefer Lamb of God or Killswitch Engage
