ppl just noticed this: when i joined CTF someone was fake admining and keep threatening me and others that he will ban us

My solution? Rec 'em, then show what a real admin can do.

I started giving ppl THREE chances to listen to admin, then Im banning and kicking them, even for not switching teams. I've noticed that admin might as well be talking to a brick wall sometimes, and this lack of respect WILL stop. Players WILL keep teams even and etc...
Those that dont will be removed. In a full server an idiot is hardly noticable, but if he forms 25% of the players, I would rather remove him than waste more of my life. I am not surprised to hear that people are faking admin.

ye Rollo you remember when I said that once I entered FGS Altfire server and some guy told me: "Welcome to My Server! Enjoy playing!" . I was like :shock:

Prime example? Last night I was trying to have a serious match with Fear and some {AK} guy, there were a bunch of other people on, and despite being asked repeatedly to do so, not one of them changed. It was basically Fear and this other guy against everyone else, I switched about halfway through, I was so pissed off. Not that Fear needs any help, but that's not the point. When can I ask for admin again? :P

Aw. I meant for the AltFire server. The amount of times I've been on, seen rule breakers, and there's been no admin. It just annoys me that people are taking the urine out of one of the best, funnest servers out there. Especially since the number of servers is declining.

well we have a policy in FGS and that is Nobody gets admin unless they are in FGS (we broke that rule once and got screwed) so like Icho said... No

Can I ask who was responsible? Not that it really matters I suppose, but it's in my nature to ask these things.......

We've had people tamper with server settings in the past.
Also people mapchanging and people not actually using admin for teamswitching.

Fear does have a bad habit of joining the winning team and not playing very fair often, but generally he has stopped claiming to be an altfire vet or the best player etc and there is some improvement, his attitude from what I saw, was not obnoxious anymore.

But I think we need to get tough about teams and also about maps...
Some beginners were horrified by pacman.

And then there is the other trick, fight 1 v many less skilled players, rather than balance the teams. The pro + 5 newbs will lose against pro + 1 newb. It's not fair, I dont care, but dont expect me to swallow some ugly git telling me I got ownt. No I did not get ownt.

Well said. Tho Fear wasn't playing in all seriousness last night I think. It was sort of funny to see the noobs trying to hit him when he was moving in a straight line, and not even firing back. I've got a demorec of it here.......somewhere. I'll dig it out later. Dunno if it's any good or not. :lol:

thats the way I balance teams... if one guy is getting like a 20.0 KDR I will usually switch to the other team with the noobs to make it fair rather than fight with him. but yes there are major team issues too many noobs will switch to my team when Im owning them and then when someone else starts owning me they will switch back. so yes I just wish I knew how to work the teamswitch mutator
