yep, the open beta has launched

getting *loving* insane waiting in line, but playing first match in a min...

haha, QL sucks.

1. the queue! every time you try to play this bunch of crap, you have to wait in the line. metabolic end product kept me waiting for 30 (!) minutes.

2. at the beggining you do some sort of quake experience test, there are 3 of 'em and at the end you choose the skill level, first one is a simple hop, second one is a rocket jump, and the last one is strafe running - all simple and straightforward, my m8 did them all but never played quake. I had to choose the Expert skill, couldn't go back ;(

3. based on the skill level you play a test fight with a bot. And here's the thing, first, the map was *loving* retarded, mega health+red armour+rocket launcher, ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER, while the weapons on the other side were shotgun and grenade launcher, *loving* useless. I got pwned 15:14 by the bot, it was 12:3, but once it got to the launcher he killed me EVERY *loving* TIME, and I was strafing and moving all the time, doing accurate lighting gun at him, but the fucker just wouldn't die, cause of that damn red armour.

4. it was rocket spraying all the time, even the lighting gun didn't help me, and I can shove those shotguns and nade launchers up my butt due to pathetic damage they deliver

5. attempt to reply the match resulted in a browser crash

6. and guess what? after I've entered the game after firefox crashed, I WAS *loving* SUPPOSED to let 20k (20.000) fuckers to play before me. Which is about 40 minutes of waiting in the line. The game ofc didn't notice that I was playing 2 minutes ago.

I gave up after this. I'm just going to wait for the main release, private servers, moar rail, less rocketlauncher, moar lighting gun damage and no waiting in lines.

CONCLUSION: STAY AWAY FROM QUAKELIVE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

There, I've ranted. Enjoy. Or don't, cause for now, this metabolic end product isn't ever worth reading about.

Agreed. QuakeLive was waited in line for, QuakeLive was found to suck rancid tuna salad outta someone's ass. Lock? :lol:

I just had the idea that someone should port DX into ioQuake3 (for single player, multiplayer if possible) as a way to make the game have a different kind of twist to it.

(possibly a bad Idea I was just throwing it out there)
