Current condition of DXMP

Some old players are leaving, even older players are returning. DXMP always has newbies to fill servers. New maps and mods still coming out. People still love zyme. DXMP is not dying :)

What do you think?!?!?!'111

Apparently there's a couple of oldies that are going to return very soon and join MTX (I know I've said that before but it was mentioned again by [MTX]Biatch yesterday). If they do join, [MTX] will be the strongest 0 aug clan out there closely followed by [REN], but as individuals they are ofcourse beatable.

As far as 0 augs go it is healthier now then it has been in the past, some clans seem to have very long player lists these days.

I don't think that the large number of members makes a clan strong or better. Look at EDH. (No offense, I love you Hash <3 )
I'm happy to see [MTX] rising up again, if they have had been around when [ARM] was dismissed, maybe I would have applied :) I don't like the fact that they recruited Hitman though. That guy is a disaster.

There's a major problem in DXMP. When a clan is found by a decent/well known member of this community, people start rushing in that clan. The clan gets strong for a short period then dies after a couple months without doing anything remarkable like beating [REN] or releasing an epic map or mod. To list a couple clans like this: M3, FL, E, FFYL, Om, 17. I could add [ARM] to this list too but at least that clan lasted for 1,5 years with more than 8 members when dismissed :D
The administrations of these clans all made the same mistake. They recruited a few good players, then recruited many noobs in a very short period. Of course these clans got out of control and members got kicked, members left, forums were hacked, reputations were destroyed, clans died.

However this is a normal part of DXMP history because - as I said earlier - the number of players is not reduced by the death of their formal clans. They stick with DX then join another clan thus keeping the game alive :)

Deus Ex was "dieing" a long time ago, and today it's still just as dead. And with the current maps and servers being played, I think it's a good thing.

It's not fun anymore. I remember when cheat servers and Funline was popular, it was all about fun. Untill people started crashing servers and that metabolic end product. It's ended now and DXMP could return to it's former glory, it's just too bad RTKM has metabolic end product maps up.

FGS is kinda fun but the gravity gets boring for me after a while, I spend more time floating about than actually being in control of my character and being able to dodge incoming bullets/sexy rays of death

Oh well :D

Oh and FF

Offending anyone is not my intention in my first post, that's what I feel has happened and is still happening.

DX will pick up with the release of DX3...

I met 3 people at work who have all played DX and thought it was brilliant, none of them played MP. It seems the same way on Facebook, people who are big fans of the game, but never realized there was MP...

I'm convinced that the "offline community" is bigger than we imagine.
