An idea hit me today...

EDIT: Sorry for such a long post, I'm all high and had a lot to say but it is pretty interesting I'd say:
Still brainstorming idea for my map and all, coming along nicely as well. I have a good supply of weed that will essentially give me about 12 hours of triple motivation to go into working hard on the map.
But today I had a stupendous idea for it. This may turn into something a lot bigger.
I was playing in altfire backup today on smuggler_tnag (one of my faves) and I going through my head was something on another thread but I cannot remember who mentioned it, however it was about using the atdm style but starting on a higher level than Untrained. I thought that was a really cool idea.
So then I thought well wouldn't it be cool if not only that, but you started with, say, your augs at only level two or something.
But then the thought occured, "Too many good players killing each time will be full strength in no time and kill the rest."
Then I suddenly had a Call of Duty 4 flashback. What if we coded a mod that started both your augs and skills at level 2, and then rather than up them at each kill, you get promotions on them by getting a certain streak of kills, call of duty style.
And maybe even break it up a bit to make it really spicy. For example start with just weapon skills at Trained and then have all the others Untrained, and at certain streaks or every kill you get another. There will be messages on the HUD that would say what you got upgraded to but not be distracting and it will really challenge players.
And to keep even the most experienced of players, none of the augs or skills would get master level until a nice kill streak, at least 7. In larger games even skilled players will die only every few kills.
Secondly, I've always wanted to add a few and tweak a few of the weapons and other items in DX. I want to enhance the mini-crossbow and sawed-off shotgun to make them more useful in MP combat. I want to make the stealth pistol draw out completely quiet. Let's make the prod much more useful, make each tag from that son of a bitch drain 25 points of bio on top of damage. Redo the GEP Gun so that it doesn't completely home in, but sort of travels towards a target and then "geppers" won't be so looked down upon.
I want to re-code alcohol and make it so you take a tiny bit less damage for a period of time and heals you more. It gets you nice and drunk yes? It's the future. Soda mixed with augmentation technology? Them microbes better be making use of the caffine and sugar! Give it some bio e and make you run faster. I'm not saying anything too dramatic like double running speed, but enough that would make a trip to the fridge worth it if you pass the kitchen. Just make them activate like suits. I think the environmental skill makes sense for that. Pick up an ingest any item from your environment and the nanites should use it to its best ability I'd say. It's an RPG + FPS, lets have that kind of fun in MP.
Also, just because of the sheer number of player who use Ballistics Protection and make nearly anyone who tries to take advantage of Targeting to combat that is severly disadvantaged, and that is disappointing that they are opposing augs. To combat this, I think it would be nice to add some Sabot rounds to MP and make them pierce through ballistics.
I have an idea for a grenade. Or it isn't quite a grenade but it is similar and will use the scramble grenade textures, but imagine a charge of sorts, a very powerful "last resort" or very tactical weapon. You pull out the scramble and upon firing it drains all of your bio e and a burst of EMP in a radius depending on the amount of bio e emits, reseting all cameras and turrets, draining everyone emp to 0 and KEEPS IT FROM REGENERATING for a few seconds and damages everyone 40 points everywhere. That would be kickass and yet not cause as much death at once as the neutron bomb. It would put everyone within the radius, aware or not, in a lame position and it is pull out what you have and fire away cause the augs have failed. I'll call it the "Spector Charge" and when you if you die by it the death says "x was killed by y with Warren's EMP Field"
And on my pyramid, when I earlier mentioned something about a large strike similar to Command_Post, it will be a massive EMP field that engulfs all unprotected areas of the map.
