It's probably caused by the intense usage of fingers as I switch between augs quite rapidly.. anyone else has similar diagnose?

Maybe beginners issue, I cant really recall having that. Using shift as jump on wads did *love* my finger up though to a point where i couldnt feel it, so i changed jump to space. Maybe its like guitar practice, smarts like hell at first, but later its ok.

I used to have to crack my wrists 7-8 times a session. The odd occasion you'd get a cramp, but nothing really severe. Stop being a female sex organ.

Re: My hands hurt..
my keyboard and mouse might be metabolic end product? they're basic office equipment
Re: My hands hurt..
mouse is the most important thing after skill and aim in any FPS.
get a new mouse. some people use Logitechs G-series, but IMO they're all metabolic end product. get a razer, either a diamondback (laser) or deathadder (optical). I use a deathadder for almost a year, it cost me around 30 euros, and it's the best *loving* mouse ever.
mouse surface is also very important. I use something a mousepad supporting my wrists, it is very comfortable:

you can always go for your Icemats and Goliaths and metabolic end product but whatever.
as for keyboard, don't go for that famous G15. it's metabolic end product. too expensive, not really helping. you can either get a keyboard with low-profile buttons (like in laptops/netbooks aye), or a high-profile classic keyboard. Personally I'd suggest the high-button ones, low-profile just feel unsure, I never know if I've pressed that key or not :P I have some cheap Tracer metabolic end product, 10 euros, works like a charm and has no unneeded metabolic end product. also wrist support for your keyboard is a must.

I do to. Do have a 'decent' mouse.

Re: My hands hurt..
I spent a good amount of monies on my keyboard and mouse.
My more expensive G11 keyboard died though due to coffee, so I'm on a windows black and silver keyboard atm.
Got some queer laser mouse too... don't know much about it but it has an amazing response time and it doesn't break so I'm happy.
You could always bind the keys closer to your fingers.

Re: My hands hurt..
I've been using my standard equipment for years, I don't think spending money on a new setup would benefit me. I think it's all about getting used to what you have and sticking with it.

Re: My hands hurt..
This statement is fundamentally wrong since proper mouse definitely does make a huge difference. The large number of function/macro keys in the newer keyboards can also help the player take the gaming to a new level, but not so much for dxmp. Macro keys have been used for atdm but for 0augs they really arent that useful.
The fact that you have to get used to what ever you have is sort of given. New mouse and new keyboard will mess your game up for a day or few.
Having said that I believe Ive already mentioned somewhere that my trusty keyboard is soon 9 years old and maybe 4 or 5 buttons either are stuck or have sunken into the keyboard lol, including my left and right movement key. So yes indeed you can play games with total rubbish, it doesnt mean you should, or that you should ignore the obvious difference the hardware makes.
