The [FGS] Clan

So there I was looking at the server list, and this 240 slot server intrigues me, cool I thought, Shadow's fly the planes loads, doubly cool I thought.

So I thought a visit to the FGS office was long overdue, now you can imagine my surprise when I was greeted with a plethora of punani!. You know ever since I first saw the map, I always wondered who that female sex organ on the wall was.

wait, so you're saying that the map was edited, or shadow did it :$

I doubt shadow was that. But I used to be on a server with such a map too.. many months ago...
But that one back then contained more spaz-favourable stuff.

I've just seen this, I can see already, that is an FGS map edited without permission.

The other maps I have seen like this were made by Gab, but I can think of several people who are stupid enough to do this.

Needless to say, they'll be banned when I find out who did this.

Do you remember the map name?

On the screen shot of the server it says Inglorious_Bastards so it may be that, or perhaps the map changed as I connected, but I would say there's a good chance it is Inglorious_Bastards.

HDD21 had a tendency of making maps just as awesome as that. Also, wtf are you doing 10 years after release being unable to have high detail mesh's. Ass junkie.

Dogny even went as far as to edit the Level Info to suggest that he was the map author, that really takes the biscuit...

I've never seen the original to that map before.
I took a peek at the modified version today, and I must say although the map obviously isn't practical for regular use and the lighting is very bad (with everything being highly visible), the brushwork and concept are extremely impressive. I was rather taken aback by the scale of it all. Brilliant map, pity it was nicked, but it was inevitable really, considering how good it was. I'm just surprised the idiot left the FGS tags all over it.

I believe zone lighting was used to cut on the the file size of the map, but I'm not 100% sure, cool map though, whoever this Dogny guy is that's not a cool thing to do.

Zone lighting would make more sense, yes. I don't think it was used entirely, but for the most part you're probably right. It's the only way a map like that wouldn't murder FPS.
Also, dogny has a long history of it... he seems to come back once every few few years just to steal maps and impersonate, then disappear without a trace.

Dogny is a mystery over almost the whole DXMP era.
