I lolled at the monthly fee and the additional cost to buy games. I don't see the advantage, sure you don't have to buy a PS3, but as far as I know PS3 doesn't have monthly fees so will become cheaper after about a year and a half. It looks nice, but I think there will be many hidden pitfalls to persuade you into putting more money in it than in the consoles they try to loath. Just like digital TV, one big rip-off.

It's like Internet gaming, if you want to use internetz, you have to pay monthly. If you want to play a kickass game on-line, you have to buy the game. Main difference is that you don't have to buy a hardcore pc or a console. Seems simple to me. What I find risky about it is the possible lagging.

Or even ridiculous. Only time will tell if they'll pull it off with any success. Anyone w/o a decent broadband connection is fubar'd obviously...

LAG
always LAG.
Someone talked me through this at college about five month ago.
All the problems of online games, only offline.
it looks HORRIBLE and will not perform well, IMO.
I love being able to build and maintain my gaming rig, and then kit it out with the latest custom software and the like.
I don't see how Nvidia3d and the like could be openly availabe on a platform like this.
