I have a ton of photorealistic images readied for conversion to textures.
I have all the UT2k4 textures and lots more resources.
There are questions I wanna ask, info I wanna share.
If it doesnt cost anything, shouldnt we have an editing section here at FGS?

I'd support an editing forum.
I don't want to clutter up the regular forums with all the conceptual crap that I throw up onto unrealed, but an editing forum would be interesting, just so we can see peoples ideas and works in progress. It could be a nice pool of creativity.
I'd recommend a guide subforum, or a query subforum, or both.

a subforum with a query subforum?
Yes, really for the mappers and coders to work together and see what everyone else is up to, also it means having all the info in one place for anyone looking for information.

I would love to share some work around here, might motivate me (and others) to map/code more and release stuff, even if it's just in parts, to the public

FGS has always tried to develop mappers by offering maptests, usually up to a week, if the map is reasonably suitable for the server, we usually leave it on.
There are others in the community too, who will allow ftp uploads for maptesting etc.
I think files can still be stored in the relevant downloads section, just a place to see work in progress, ask questions, "tips" topics etc...

Hmm... Is there still enough activity that it worth to create such a sub forum?
Alpha got a modding forum and it's completely inactive.. I don't want to argue about the reasons for that, though.

It's worth a try, besides.. why do you always compare with Alpha?
And spam has been inactive, cuz u mods dont like spam, does that mean we should delete it? no.

I promise to spew up some crap in the editor every now and again and stick it on there.
I frequently just feck around messing with maps and practicing, or making prefabs. I wouldn't mind contributing to it.

Every now and again, you do. It's obvious why though, it's you're ex clan and they where rather successful, and another clan who tried the system. It's not as if I don't always compare everything to RTK.

When I think about mapping or modding in its true definition I think of Nochanc and his amazing maps. I always compare FGS maps to Nochanc maps, but there isnt much competition to be had. The league is completely different.

I think you'll find that GODZ were GODS of DX.
Also russians aren't communist any more.
Other than that yeah. Agreed completely.
