Need help with deus ex and question about the altfire versio

need serious help with my deus ex if anybody can help me out add me to yahoo potheadz4life@yahoo.com and about fgs wunderland altfire server 2 i always play in it and my fav was abandoned and twinz final but i see abandoned has been taken off and now its less fun to play in tha server now my three favs were pacman twinz and abandoned anyways if anyone can help me out with a deus ex problem please add me to yahoo

Yes, Abandoned was taked off because it didn't fit into the classic FGS altfire style.
Same counts to pacman.

Anyway.. so.. what's your problem in detail?

Congratulations on your first ever post here. You say you always play in altfire, so I'm wondering, what player name are you?

Maplists change from time to time, don't worry, maps come and go, there will some exciting new maps soon.
Abandoned is playing on several other servers, so you can still play it. If other issues can be solved, it's possible those two maps could return, but at the moment we are putting "low gravity" maps on the low gravity server.
Pacman is going to be added to the 0-aug server, so there is no problem, those two maps haven't been removed entirely.
Low gravity servers usually needs map that allow players to experience the low gravity. Pacman and Abandoned don't do that, being part of the reason we removed them.
One of the most ever popular maps on altfire, DXMP_Prodigy is very similar to Abandoned but has areas big enough for low gravity. We will re-introduce this map soon, so hopefully you will be able to enjoy. Abandoned and Pacman aren't altfire maps but are very popular, so moving them to zero aug servers offers a balance to all players.

So if your problem is not being able to play these maps, your problem is already solved :D

well its not as fun anymore to play in it cuz abandoned was takn off and no lams but the problem i had was fixed now theres a new problem im tryin to host my own room and when i press start game to host it just closes so can anyone help me with this problem to host a room and can add me to yahoo cuz im on it right now

one more that i just encounterd to when im download for instance i just tried to download tha Area51bunker_v3stargate right at tha end of it says error and couldnt download it says somethin about package

While you enjoy lams and abandoned, many people don't. Altfire weapons are overpowered and players don't act responsibily with lams, too many players were dying in the spawnrooms. IF players can act more responsibly with lams then perhaps we can re-introduce them. Also the problem with abandoned, as I said, it's not even an altfire map, we run a low grav server, if people become obsessed with a zero-aug map on a low grav server, then other players will never enjoy any other map. As for lams, I doubt their removal is permanent.

As for the hosting, have you read any guides?

As for Area51Bunker_V3_152, I suggest you visit the download section and download the map and its packages from our download section. Then there can be no mistake, it won't be possible to have a missing package or mismatch.

the problem is when i press start game to host it just crashes and no lil icon appears on tha bottom right like its suppose to so far ive downloaded only maps , mapvote mod, neph mod or maybe its a port problem even though i already put in 7790 already can someone add me to yahoo to resolve this please potheadz4life@yahoo

It would be much easier, if you posted your server.log
The server.log resides in the System folder of DeusEx

Try to start your server and after it crashed, right upload that file as attachment into this topic.
It will help us to find the problem's cause.

ok lemme try that real quick n post it here but tha thing is that when i start the room it just crashes but doesnt say it crashed the game just executes itself and goes back to my main screen no message or nothin

Ok next time read the instructions, he said post in an attachment, but never mind.

I don't have the answer you're looking for myself, but I noticed a couple of things.

PurgeCacheDays=30 change this to PurgeCacheDays=0 Now you do not need to redownload from servers every month.
MinDesiredFrameRate=1.000000
This is 1 frame per second. That is pretty low. I would set this a bit higher. I've got mine set at 30. So my Deus Ex will give me 30 fps minimum before it starts cutting on detail quality.
