The [FGS] Clan

Hey everyone,
my DX-nickname is Malladus or Ph03nixX. I want to post an application here, because I wish to join a clan. I am very loyal (I am in a clan, that plays SW games, and I neither betrayed them once nor did i leave for 2 years), as modder, i specialised in making new weapons, mapping and skinning (I already worked with Unreal Engine, with the DX version and a newer version), and I respect all rules, as do I follow orders of higher-ranking members. I might not have played Deus Ex in min. 6 months, so I am not as good as i was before that pause, but I am still willing to improve myself and to maybe even become better than I ever was. I hope you will accept me in your clan, and hope to see you guys soon in-game (and I hope you guys will help me with my modding work ).

Even if you dont want me in FGS, I still thank you for reading this post.

2. How long have you been playing Deus Ex?
for 1-2 years, then i did a pause of 6 months and now I play again
3. List your previous clans, state reason for not playing for them anymore (such as: Clan dead, Clan kicked me, I left clan etc.)

4. Why would you like to join [FGS]?
because I was looking for a clan, all the members I met yet were very nice, and I am a fan of DX and your servers
5. Are you familiar with some of the [FGS] members already? Do you have friends in our clan?
Well, I already met some members, but I dont know them really
6. Do you have special skills that could be useful to contribute in [FGS] projects? (such as mapping, coding, modelling abilities etc.)
well, mapping of course, skinning, and thats it

8. Do you think you would be a good addition to our team? If yes, why?
I might be a good addition to the team, as I am a good tactican (so I can coordinate attacks very well)

Please let me direct your attention back on our application topic.

There is NO point to apply if we don't know each other. We base our opinions of players from what we see on our forums and in our servers, not in their applications. Application is merely a formality and the members confirming an acceptance into [FGS]. Do not apply if most members don't know you or you are not already a regular on our forums.

Honestly, at the moment there's very little chance you will be accepted to our clan as we don't have much information about you. As you can read in the application topic we will need to get to know you better to form a satisfying opinion. Spend some time with us on our forum, our servers, post some screenshots or demos of your work, match results, whatever that you think will boost your chances to get in [FGS].

Don't worry, I am already working on boosting my chances, as you can see here. And as I spend most of my time that I use for playing DXMP on your altfire server, It will not be such of a problem, I guess

We don't accept strangers into our clan.
Being on our forums for a while, playing with us in servers, showing us your editing work developing, getting to know the clan members individually, at least the long-standing members and DX players, is very important.

Without any of this we can not assess you.

Your efforts are to be applauded, but what will increase your chances the most, is people knowing you personally.

well, you have to take in 2 important things:...
1) time: one thing is that i also have to take care of school and personal life and stuff. and i am an admin at a very active forum, meaning that i need to check the site every 15/30/45/60 min or so to see if anyone started insulting someone else or shows other inappropriate behavior, so i can either correct their behvaior or ban them till they have changed their behavior.
2) information: i just dont know how much you guys need to know about me, and how can i also be sure that you dont give my personal info to other people who are not supposed to know this information

and i get the feeling that the person who applies (me in this case) is the active part in the whole scenario, and you guys are the quite passive part. so if you guys want to know me better personally, then send me a e-mail or a pm, ok?

Sorry but "Actions speak louder than words".

Imagine a total stranger knocked on your door and asked to live in your house.
Would you say yes? Now imagine if your friend, or your neighbour asked, would you say no?

We don't need people checking this forum every hour, that would be absurd. Once a week is enough for some of our members. That's all we need from people, to keep an eye on discussions, important polls etc.

So please accept our apology, but it is unlikely that members will e-mail you, if you want to be an FGS member, then be a part of our community, let us build a relationship and get to know you over time. At the moment one doesn't exist, we can't vote, no-one knows you. We are making it as easy for you as we can.

You say you are a modder. That means you have a very good chance of joining. However you haven't shown us any of your work as far as I know. Neither have I seen you in any DXMP servers, if you are busy fair enough, but then it would be wise to show us some of your work at least, so we can get to know you.

well, i did show some of my work. guess you have to look for that topic :P about the gaming part: it might be some difference in time maybe. i live in germany, so there might be a either little or huge time differnce. and it might be tht if you r online in DXMP, then i am either at school, or working on my maps

and i hope i can take enough time to get to know everyone here well enough
