Renting a house...

Accomodation is very cheap in Bristol, not like London. In London I was paying 450 a month for one room.

Here in Bristol that gets you a nice two bedroom flat. I'm paying 550 for a 2 and a half bedroom flat with living room/kitchen and small utility room.

If you pay just 100 more, you can get a whole house, 3 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms, massive garden, a whole house.

Is this the same in other countries, it work outs cheaper to rent a house than a flat?

Sounds unbelievable, I remember going back a good number of years now that Blackpool used to be dirt cheap, 250,000 mortgage would get you a nice hotel etc.

Your English is better than my German.
My German was so bad at school it cost my parents money :D Still failed.

Yes I can believe about Blackpool. I went up north, a small 4 bedroom house in Bolton is a lot cheaper than 1 bed flats in London.

I'm paying 250€ a month here in St Petersburg for a bed in the living room with a bathroom, kitchen and toilet I have to share with 6 mates from uni. It's all right though, except the wallpaper. It's *loving* gold everywhere you look. IT BURNS

The ones with the hole ion the ground are they called Turkish toilets or something? Fortunately never had to use one of them, I shudder at the very thought. :ney:

The toilets here, for those who are interested, are thankfully western-style.
