HELP ME!!!!!

why hello there my deus ex seems to be freezing alot sometimes right when i get in or in the middle of a game are these gps? or gpfs wutever theyre called can anyone help me out or is there a tutorial or something for this its doin it all the time i cant even play anymore

They can be caused by many things, it's the generic error given for crashes - being an old game which struggles to run well with every future operating system, there's plenty around.

Simplest suggestion would be re-installing the game and avoiding mutators, if you're just wanting to play Singleplayer.

not really much of a single player i play mp hardcore everyday but now i cant even play a single mp game witouth it freezing on me so i aint played all day it really sucks i think u would know been playing it forever and i will put on a log right now at first it would freeze and also freeze the computer which i would have to restart all over again but now it seems to not be as bad now it just freezes while playing it for like 2 mins or less it will freeze and then i gota re enter again to play

Hey k1djerz. That only shows you exiting normally. Next time you freeze or get an error, post the log file as an attachment before you open DX again.

Poor is right, you must post the DeusEx.log right after your game crashed.
If you post the log after you restarted the game again, the required information is lost.

the thing is that it doesnt crash it freezes and then i gota re enter ,or should i do this after it freezes do u want me to just automacially exit deus ex and then post the log ? cuz its not crashing it freezes alot which then i need to re enter to play again but it will freeze again n again

Yes, you did it right. but it's like I feared.. due to your game's freezing, the log is incomplete and does not show the required information.
I was hoping that it would provide at least some relevant lines but that's not the case.

So.. how does that -freezing- look like?
-Does it freeze everything on the screen?
-Or.. Does it make you unable to move but you can still see chat messages?

well i dont kno exactly how u want me to do it what i did was it froze and then i waited for it to unfreeze then i went to task manager n closed it or did u just want me to exit right after it unfroze this is what happens :

yes i can get in sometimes i will be able to play for a while sometimes it freezes like not even 2 seconds of being inside the room so when it freezes everything is just frozen the screen is still it doesnt turn black just still like as if u paused it so it will stay frozen like that for like 15 20 seconds and unfreeze but when it does unfreeze everybody is still there but not chatting or playin and i can move but tha other players are gliding and running into the wall i am no longer able to play and must re enter to play again and for everyting to be normal ,so this is what happens everytime ,first everyting will be normal then it freezes for a lil bit then unfreeze and i must re enter to play again but it will freeze again so its a never ending cycle n i dont know how to stop it

Hmm.. interesting.
I know that freeze thing after joining too but usually it doesn't last longer than some seconds.
If it lasts too long, like in your case, your connection to the server has been terminated by the server due to timeout.
You can still move and you see other players because your client DX doesn't know that it lost connection.
So yeah, it would be useful if you quit DX after you unfroze again and then post the log file.

I highly doubt this is dx related. It is more like a hardware failure or OS issues. Do you have same issues with other games? Try out other unreal1 engine based one (ut) and maybe with newer engine, like ut3.

I am sure this fault should show somewhere else. My first attempt to fix it would be to replace video card.
