TRUTH:

Facebook is addictive, some hoes spend too much time of their life messing with it.

Facebook is useful to keep in touch and get the latest news about your friends.

FGS on Facebook is pointless, there's a reason we use this forum for years.

That's exactly what Henry Warner of Warner Brothers said in 1927 about films with actors speaking.

I don't think Kalman has done anything wrong, any PR is good PR. I wonder if we are pissing away an opportunity, while DX3 is a hot topic, by not organising the whole community to spend more time promoting and introducing DXMP to what is a captive audience right now.

"social" stuff like FB is changing, key trends in marketing are not so much now about "how many followers", but marketing is becoming more about "who is your follower" i.e. brand assocation e.g. celebrity endorsement etc.

I'd say we, the DXMP community does what it can, when it can, to help promote DXMP, but the result is chaotic and partial saturation of the market and I estimate the serverlist is at least half what it could be. shouting on games sites, websites etc is a task which should be shared, but is often neglected, if everyone was involved, it would make the job tiny.
