I'm waiting for further information, but I have just been informed, Otherworld was subjected to a severe D-Dos attack.

Some people in the community fail to realize my age and intuitive capabilities, one person already has given me a clue to the possible identity of the attacker and reason for the attack, but in due course I will receive further information. This also informs me who else probably knows about the attack and has sat and watched. It was a stupid thing to do, since Otherworld is the home of the DXMP_HumanRevolution project also, all this has done is create further support for the project and made our job easier.

My reaction will be similar. There will be no warning, no discussion, simply action on my part.

Why don't you just come forward with the name of your suspect and stop the suspense?!

Otherworld as in your DXMP server? Why would anyone attack that? All the dxmp drama seems to be on the zxc, mirk, and thc servers.

only when I have actual proof, or at least a very long finger pointing, not just suspicions/deductions. However there is a lot that can be deduced. Only a very few people are capable. Even fewer have shown any issue with Otherworld, it literally boils down to one person who was indirectly linked to other attacks in the past, although there are another 2 people who I'm definitely looking at, both of whom who may or may not realize I am on to them also. But it's not the past I am looking at, it's people's behaviour in the last 3 weeks, there has been some extra-ordinary, I mean conspicuous behaviour.

Well they wasted their time, since neither Abbottabad or WW2 is what is planned for the server.

As I see, you could restart it.
There are many trolls here now, and a lot of them spamming, teamkilling, copying name etc.
Maybe one of those trolls did something with the server.

A search of your server's IP shows that the server is used to host quite a few other games. I don't think you were personally attacked.

Speaking seriously though, please come forward with the name of the person you suspect, it's not pointing fingers but if you have some clue about who you suspect you should come clean about it so everyone can act and work together for the proof, but as Poor says I doubt it's personally your server, because it indeed isn't just your server IP.

Thanks a lot Poor, that makes a lot of sense.

Someone made a point of letting me know they had big issues/disgust with Abbottabad, so while there were complaints about the server, I did look at likely people from the community that is all.

To update, I've filmed the sewers, so now I will film Chin's map today. Still having problems with the large Detroit map being ready for hosting though, I might ask you Kalman to rebuild it and see if the bug disappears when playing it.
I'll whack up the Maintenance block 12 map for a short time today as well to film a teaser for Hengsha RPG (not intending to use that map for the RPG though), then I'll leave Dockside up, to film battles etc. I'm also going to try to finish the long Cozmo walkthrough video today if I can. Wondering what music would be good for a Cozmo trailer, it's long, I estimate finished cut will be around 5 minutes if not more...
