Look at this:
I got mismatch, when I tried playing on map DXSG_GODZ_A51+Smuggler_V3.

Make a backup of that file and remove it from its original location in your DX folder. Then try connecting the server, the package should be downloaded automatically. This should allow you to play but won't help you find out what caused the mismatch I guess.

For some reason there exist two Detail.utx files.
In my local System folder there is one with the size of 23kB (the active one) and one with the size of 1690kB (renamed due to mismatch too I think).
Altfire uses the small version.

It's a package from UT99, isn't it?

It's the package from Unreal Engine

Then there's the question, which of both is the right one..

Don't you check "date modified"?

Of course I did. And both date back to 2003.
But I just got another idea. I just checked the textures folder of my UT installation and there exists a detail.utx with 1.690kB.
So technically altfire is hosting the wrong file. I assume the other detail.utx was uploaded for the sake of download performance.

Presumably the 1.690 file has an older date modified by hours, days, weeks etc...

I found only one Detail.utx in Textures folder. When I removed this file and tried on this map again, I got suddenly connection failed.
Anyway, someone played on this map? Did you get mismatch?
Edit: problem solved.

I didn't get mismatch, prolly didn't play it I think.
However, in case someone spams up the shoutbox, maybe I should mention... I joined Karky's server just now and got mismatch on DXSG_CMD_V1 with the superrocket_lite package. It can not be me, because no-one has reported any mismatch on Otherworld and because I made sure 100% this year that I had the right files from Krisz. I feel this is not Karky's fault, I've had problems with this file also in the past.

I'm noticed this too, but I was lazy to rename my version

Nobody requested me to upload the verison that I'm hosting. It's the official version and it's always been. Nobody takes care of such thing!
If you use this one and you get mismatch, then it's the hosters fault. BAAAA

Seeing as you are on the moon, can you look out for an american flag and a space buggy, just to clear something up, thanks.

1. To put it bluntly... who is forum user [FGS] please. It's nice to know who is talking to you.
2. I'm already using the official version, since I map for SG, I know I have the correct file. The question is rather than who is to blame, HOW a second erroneous file came to exist and how we can prevent it surfacing again in the community, am I correct?
