Open the right ports on you router. Google Deus Ex Ports and open them. As for Ini file I can host with the default ini file if ports are open on my router so not sure a change to this file is needed to host DX...I could be wrong!

Forwarding ports may not be enough. I had to create new inbound rules and outbound rules for Deus Ex in the Windows Firewall for it to work.

also these are the ports that are forwarded as well check below are there other numbers or should i switch these numbers around ?
I would try turning off IP Flood detection and Firewall protection to rule out the possibility they are stopping you hosting. your firewall should have the option to... set Security Level: BlockAll
Use this Security Level to block all traffic from and to the Internet. Game and Application sharing is not allowed by the firewall.
Standard
Use this Security Level to allow all outgoing connections and block all incoming traffic. Game and Application sharing is allowed by the firewall..
Disabled
Disable the firewall. All traffic is allowed to pass through your BT Home Hub. Game and Application sharing is allowed by the firewall.
User_Defined
Custom level, click Edit to configure
Have a mess about with them and see what happens. try the port setup first like show in the picture.

nothings worked i got that mod to work finally i asked around in the servers one guy said that the port numbers in the ini file has to match with the forwarded ports hes probably means this below he said it has the gamespy name in it i found these two
[DeusEx.DeusExGameEngine]
CacheSizeMegs=4
UseSound=True
ServerActors=IpDrv.UdpBeacon
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerQuery
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master0.gamespy.com MasterServerPort=7790
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.epicgames.com MasterServerPort=7790
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.fragaholic.com MasterServerPort=7790
ServerPackages=DXMTL152b1
he said at the bottom there was one and its this as it has the gamespy in it to , so do i need to add port numbers to anything below or above im thinkn it could be that because z3ro went into my ini file he changed something in here and it could be one of these two, the ip adress to my room im hosting it says " 192.168.0.3:7790 " so maybe i should add 7790 somewhere ? or another number someone who knows about ini files can please check this
as you can see theres no numbers its just blank
[DeusEx.MenuScreenJoinGame]
MasterServerAddress=master0.gamespy.com
[Engine.GameReplicationInfo]
ServerName=
ShortName=
[IpServer.UdpBeacon]
BeaconProduct=DeusEx

Please post your server.log.
Host a dedicated server, then check if it's on Internet, if you don't see it, find it on LAN. If it's on LAN then connect to it.. and quit the server.
then please post your Server.log in here.

The fück.. guys!
There is a CODE tag for data dumps and a SPOILER tag to hide long text blocks!
I've fixed your posts now.
Anyway.. even if all your ports are forwarded, you may still just see it in the LAN games list.
However, others could see it in the internet list, nevertheless.
So don't just make your estimation based on what you see but also on what others see.
