DXMP_Siberia Map Update BETA v 2.0

DXMP_Siberia_Beta_v2.dx - 2.6 Mb

should be closing in on a final version any day now!

- the Valve does something!

- ctex.utx custom textures including colors for unlit light brushes:
ctex.utx - 1.1 Mb

- improved lighting

- started to enlarge the "curved " hallways

- moved a few semisolid boxes into better locations

- repairbot is now invincible

- fixed clipping error with one semisolid box

- fixed new bsp death bug during edit

- added floor loft and to skybox and changed sky color

- added room locked with some goodies :P

Anax I noticed when starting up the map a TNT crate explodes which smashes a window, I can solve this by shifting the TNT crate up a few units, do you want me to fix this and host it, or do you prefer the explosion kept in?

it explodes wtf!? yeah fix it chinny, maybe there's a bsp hole hitting it?

Seen that before, usually a gravity issue, like a brush wasn't solid.

Liking this map, along with CS-Office, Lockdown, Stalkyard, prolly my three favourites in 0-augs. I like Chees' maps, but not sure which one I like best, but I think this one fits perfectly on Chinny's server, not too small, not totally flat, not too big.

I noticed the hangar wall texture on top of a crate near an upstairs spawnroom, didn't seem quite right to me, or perhaps not quite sized to fit.

Also if you are nerd enough to look out of the windows, you can see the square corner of the skybox. Probably needs a mountain or radio mast or something just to cover it up.

Otherwise, pretty perfect map, lovely.

hah yea, i started using semisolid hollow cones inside my skyboxes (stretched out and then transformed permanently, of course). and a squashed 12 sided cylinder underneath it for the ground.

It looks just the same as the cone skybox in DXMP_Outpost, you might find it on DeusEx Files, ancient map by Derianx.

btw - custom light textures ftw!
